Abstract:A facile electrochemical anodization route was used to prepared self-organized nanotubular films on Ti-2Al-1.5Mn alloy in a 0.5wt% NH4F aqueous electrolyte. The surface morphology and structure of the as-formed films are considered. Specific work has been on the effect of the applied voltage and anodization time, which are confirmed to influence the morphology greatly. The as-formed nanotubes under the optimized condition, at 20V for 3h, are highly ordered with about 500nm in length and the average tube diameter is about 90nm. The possible growth mechanism is also discussed.
