Abstract:We first develop some general properties for holomorphic conformal maps between Kahler manifolds, such as extension and algebraicity. Applying these properties, some rigidity results for holomorphic conformal maps from the unit disk to the product of unit balls are obtained.

Abstract:The conformai properties of complex Finsler metrics are studied. We first give a characterization of a compact complex Finsler manifold to be globally conformai Kahler. By considering the total holomorphic curvature and total Ricci curvature in the volume preserved conformal classes, we then study the variational properties of Kahler Finsler metrics. By studying the spectral properties of two average metrics, the stabilities of critical Kähler Finsler metrics are verified. Finally, a Yamabe type problem for mean holomorphic Ricci curvature is considered, and a partial existence result is obtained.

Abstract:We study unparametrized conformal circles, or called conformal geodesics, study diffeomorphisms mapping conformal circles to conformal circles in pseudo-Riemannian conformal manifolds. We show that such local diffeomorphisms are conformal local diffeomorphisms. Our result extends the result of Yano and Tomonaga. We also present a holographic interpretation for our result on Poincaré-Einstein manifolds. The proofs take suitable variations of conformal circles.

Abstract:In this paper, we present two kinds of total Chern forms c(E,G) and C(E,G) as well as a total Segre form s(E,G) of a holomorphic Finsler vector bundle π : (E,G) → M expressed by the Finsler metric G, which answers a question of J. Faran ([10]) to some extent. As some applications, we show that the signed Segre forms (−1)sk(E,G) are positive (k, k)forms on M when G is of positive Kobayashi curvature; we prove, under an extra assumption, that a Finsler-Einstein vector bundle in the sense of Kobayashi is semi-stable; we introduce a new definition of a flat Finsler metric, which is weaker than Aikou’s one ([3]) and prove that a holomorphic vector bundle is Finsler flat in our sense if and only if it is Hermitian flat.

Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira-SpencerKuranishi deformation theory of Kähler manifolds. As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi-Yau manifolds, and use an iteration method to construct global canonical families of holomorphic (n, 0)-forms on the deformation spaces of Kähler manifolds.

Abstract:We review our recent results on holomorphic affine structures on the Teichm "uller spaces of Calabi-Yau manifolds and their Hodge metric completions, as well as their applications to global Torelli theorems for Calabi-Yau manifolds. As corollaries we show that the extended period map from the completion space is injective into the period domain, and that the completion space is a domain of holomorphy and admits a complete Kahler-Einstein metric.

Abstract:In this article, we study local holomorphic isometric embeddings from ${\BB}^n$ into ${\BB}^{N_1}\times... \times{\BB}^{N_m}$ with respect to the normalized Bergman metrics up to conformal factors. Assume that each conformal factor is smooth Nash algebraic. Then each component of the map is a multi-valued holomorphic map between complex Euclidean spaces by the algebraic extension theorem derived along the lines of Mok and Mok-Ng. Applying holomorphic continuation and analyzing real analytic subvarieties carefully, we show that each component is either a constant map or a proper holomorphic map between balls. Applying a linearity criterion of Huang, we conclude the total geodesy of non-constant components.

Abstract:We prove a couple of results on local continuous extension of proper holomorphic maps $F:D \rightarrow \Omega$, $D, \Omega \varsubsetneq \mathbb{C}^n$, making local assumptions on $\partial{D}$ and $\partial{\Omega}$. The first result allows us to have much lower regularity, for the patches of $\partial{D}, \partial{\Omega}$ that are relevant, than in earlier results. The second result (and a result closely related to it) is in the spirit of a result by Forstneric--Rosay. However, our assumptions allow $\partial{\Omega}$ to contain boundary points of infinite type.

Abstract:Certain classical results on cluster sets and boundary cluster sets of analytic functions, due to Iversen, Lindelöf, Noshiro, Tsuji, Ohtsuka, Pommerenke, Carmona, Cufi and others, are extended to n-dimensional quasiconformal mappings. Unlike what is usually the case in the context of analytic functions, our considerations are not restricted to mappings of a disk or ball only. It is shown, for instance, that quasiconformal cluster sets and boundary cluster sets, taken at a non-isolated boundary point of an arbitrary domain, coincide. More refined versions are established in the special case where the domain is the open unit ball. These include cluster set considerations of the induced radial boundary extension and results where certain exceptional sets on the boundary are allowed for.

Abstract:We study local holomorphic maps between Kähler manifolds preserving $(p,p)$-forms. In this direction, we prove that any such local holomorphic map $F$ is a holomorphic isometry up to a scalar constant provided that $p$ is strictly less than the complex dimension of the domain of $F$. We then study local holomorphic maps between finite dimensional complex space forms preserving invariant $(p,p)$-forms. It was proved by Calabi that there does not exist a local holomorphic isometry between complex space forms $M$ and $N$ provided that $M$ and $N$ are of different types. In this article, we generalize this result to local holomorphic maps between complex space forms $M$ and $N$ preserving invariant $(p,p)$-forms whenever $M$ and $N$ are of different types except for the case where the universal covers of $M, N$ are biholomorphic to $\mathbb{C}^m, \mathbb{P}^n$, respectively and $2\le p=m<n$. We also obtain some results in more general settings, including the study on indefinite Kähler manifolds and relatives for Kähler manifolds.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a stability result for the non-Kähler geometry of locally conformally Kähler (lcK) spaces with singularities. Specifically, we find sufficient conditions under which the image of an lcK space by a holomorphic mapping also admits lcK metrics, thus extending a result by Varouchas about Kähler spaces.

Abstract:The authors consider ±(Φ, J)-holomorphic maps from Sasakian manifolds into Kähler manifolds, which can be seen as counterparts of holomorphic maps in Kähler geometry. It is proved that those maps must be harmonic and basic. Then a Schwarz lemma for those maps is obtained. On the other hand, an invariant in its basic homotopic class is obtained. Moreover, the invariant is just held in the class of basic maps.

Abstract:A holomorphic conformal structure on a complex manifold X is an everywhere non-degenerate section [Formula: see text] for some line bundle N. In this paper, we show that if X is a projective complex n-dimensional manifold with non-numerically effective K x and admits a holomorphic conformal structure, then X ≅ Q n . This in particular answers affirmatively a question of Kobayashi and Ochiai. They asked if the same holds assuming c 1 (X) > 0. As a consequence, we also show that any projective conformal manifold with an immersed rational null geodesic is necessarily a smooth hyperquadric Q n .

Abstract:We show that surfaces such that the natural projections of the unit normal bundles are harmonic morphisms are composed of minimal points and totally umbilical points. As its application, we find a harmonic map from the torus to the complex quadric in CP3 such that the projection map of the associated sphere bundle constructed by Gudmundsson is not a harmonic morphism. This contrasts sharply with the situation for holomorphic maps. We also establish sufficient conditions for reducing the codimension of an isometric immersion with conformal second fundamental form.

Abstract:This paper presents two results in the realm of conformal Kaehler submanifolds. These are conformal immersions of Kaehler manifolds into the standard flat Euclidean space. The proofs are obtained by making a rather strong use of several facts and techniques developed in Chion and Dajczer (Proc Edinb Math Soc 66:810–833, 2023) for the study of isometric immersions of Kaehler manifolds into the standard hyperbolic space.

Conformal measures of (anti)holomorphic correspondences

Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence and properties of conformal measures on limit sets of (anti)holomorphic correspondences. We show that if the critical exponent satisfies $1\leq \delta_{\operatorname{crit}}(x) <+\infty,$ the correspondence $F$ is (relatively) hyperbolic on the limit set $\Lambda_+(x)$, and $\Lambda_+(x)$ is minimal, then $\Lambda_+(x)$ admits a non-atomic conformal measure for $F$ and the Hausdorff dimension of $\Lambda_+(x)$ is strictly less than 2. As a special case, this shows that for a parameter $a$ in the interior of a hyperbolic component of the modular Mandelbrot set, the limit set of the Bullett--Penrose correspondence $F_a$ has a non-atomic conformal measure and its Hausdorff dimension is strictly less than 2. The same results hold for the LLMM correspondences, under some extra assumptions on its defining function $f$.

On geometric properties of holomorphic isometries between bounded symmetric domains

Abstract:We study holomorphic isometries between bounded symmetric domains with respect to the Bergman metrics up to a normalizing constant. In particular, we first consider a holomorphic isometry from the complex unit ball into an irreducible bounded symmetric domain with respect to the Bergman metrics. In this direction, we show that images of (nonempty) affine-linear sections of the complex unit ball must be the intersections of the image of the holomorphic isometry with certain affine-linear subspaces. We also construct a surjective holomorphic submersion from a certain subdomain of the target bounded symmetric domain onto the complex unit ball such that the image of the holomorphic isometry lies inside the subdomain and the holomorphic isometry is a global holomorphic section of the holomorphic submersion. This construction could be generalized to any holomorphic isometry between bounded symmetric domains with respect to the \emph{canonical Kähler metrics}. Using some classical results for complex-analytic subvarieties of Stein manifolds, we have obtained further geometric results for images of such holomorphic isometries.

Abstract:M.Gromov extended the concepts of conformal and quasiconformal mapping to the mappings acting between the manifolds of different dimensions. For instance, any entire holomorphic function $ f: \Cn \to {\mathbb C}$ defines a mapping conformal in the sense of Gromov. In this connection Gromov addressed a natural question: which facts of the classical theory apply to these mappings? In particular is it true that {\em If the mapping $ F: \R^{n + 1} \to \R^{n}$ is conformal and bounded, then it is a constant mapping, provided that $ n \geq 2 $}~? We present arguments confirming the validity of such a Liouville-type theorem.
