Abstract:In increasingly dynamic environment, some scholars consider the core competence of firms derives from organizational flexibility. They figure that the lower the organizational centralization is, the stronger the organizational flexibility is. This paper asserts that in super dynamic environment, there is no obvious relation between the level of organizational centralization and organizational flexibility in the empirical research on large and middle sized manufacture in the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong, China. They reckon centralization is influenced by organizational external environment and also by organizational internal factors.
