Abstract:To improve the dehumidification performance and perform regeneration of desiccant wheels at low temperatures, various MIL-101(Cr)/ceramic fibre paper (MIL-101/CFP) samples, as dehumidification materials, were developed through a brush-coating method using ceramic fibre paper as the carrier. The dehumidification materials were then characterized and analysed by nitrogen adsorption-desorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and thermal gravimetric analysis. The dynamic dehumidification performance and dehumidification-regeneration cycles of the materials were studied. The results show that MIL-101/CFP has high purity and satisfactory thermal and hydrothermal stability. The dehumidification experiment confirms that MIL-101/CFP with a coating ratio C of 70% maintains a high equilibrium dehumidification capacity and presents a dehumidification capacity that is 100 mg/g higher compared to that of commercially available desiccant wheel materials.
