Application of individualized feedback teaching method in teaching of surgery pandect

Abstract:Objective To evaluation individualized feedback teaching method in the teaching of general principles and basic skills of surgery.Methods Thirty medical students of Peking university health science center were randomized chosen as feedback method test group and taught by the feedback method,while another thirty students from the same college and same grade were chosen as control group and taught by normal method.The practice skills examination results,theory exam results and two-way assessment were compared among the 2 groups.Results There was no significant difference in initial exam.The test group was(87.1±3.6) on final practice skills exam and higher than control group(P=0.009).There was no significant difference in theory exam and two-way assessment (P＞0.05),though the test group was shown the higher trend.Conclusions The individualized feedback teaching method was an effective way to enhance the students' basic surgical skills and improve the outcomes of their learning.
