Nanomedicine in pancreatic cancer therapy

Abstract:Pancreatic cancer is a common digestive tract malignancy with the worst prognosis,whose incidence is rising and surgical resection rate remains very low.Moreover,the sensitivity of chemotherapy or radiotherapy for pancreatic cancer is low.Rapid development of nanomedicine has paved new path for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.The antitumor effects of nanomedicine have greatly enhanced the efficacy of traditional chemotherapy agents.Furthermore,nanomedicine targeting tumor microenvironment could effectively overcome the interstitial barrier of pancreatic cancer and achieve more precise treatment.This review focuses on the researches of nanomedicine in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
