The advancement researches about relationship between neutrophils and pancreatic cancer metastasis

Abstract:Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant digestive system tumor,and it has become the seventh largest tumor in China.With the development of radiological technology,diagnosis level of pancreatic cancer increased greatly,but its resection rate and postoperative 5-year survival rate is still not ideal,postoperative metastasis rate remains high,especially postoperative liver metastasis,which has become the most common cause of postoperative death.Neutrophils are the main group of white blood cells and an important part of the human immune system.Conventional wisdom holds that neutrophils play an important role in inhibiting tumor development.However,in patients with pancreatic cancer who may have low resistance,neutrophils may not only do not play a good role in anti-tumor function but also play an important role in the metastasis of tumor cells.Recently,there is increasing evidence that neutrophils are closely related to the infiltration and metastasis of tumor cells.Hereby,this article reviews the progress of neutrophils metastasis in pancreatic cancer.
