Exploration on An Integration Teaching Method, Idea and Pattern in Clinical Medicine and Basic Medicine

Abstract:To explore an integration teaching method, idea and pattern in clinical medicine and basic medicine. Conventional teaching methods or patterns, to some extent, restrict the development of modern medical education. And the relatively separated and independent teach in clinical medicine and basic medicine restrain students from well developing. In this study, case-based integration teaching (CBIT) patterns were applied instead of conventional patterns. The CBIT patterns include: case-question-discussion; ideas of diagnosis and treatment; multimedia-aided and bilingual teaching and cultivation of innovation ability. The result shows that the satisfaction rate is 100% in CBIT class, and the rates of interest, understanding memory ability, enlightenment of diagnosis thinking and innovation of scientific research in CBIT class are significantly higher than those in conventional class. Similarly results are founded when we applied CBIT in pathology teaching. On the base of this, we should explore a new model of teaching which combines clinical medicine with basic medicine as an integrated pattern.
