Abstract:Mesenchymal stem cells,acting as one of the most common cells used in tissue engineering,can be easily obtained and cultured.However,when cultured in vitro,stemness of mesenchymal stem cells decreased rapidly,which limits its application in repair of injuries.Therefore,finding the factors adjusting stemness of mesenchymal stem cells and maintaining its capability of differentiating into particular tissues are critical in tissue engineering.This article summarized related factors and methods,which may be employed to evaluate and maintain the stemness of mesenchymal stem cells.
