Abstract:Individuals diagnosed with combat-related Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) often exhibit elevated interpersonal aggression within social interactions. Using computational models of social behavior, we examined how social valuation (i.e., preference for interpersonal conflicts and social dominance) and social learning (i.e., the ability of learning other’s behaviors from previous interactions) contribute to alterations of social interactions among those with combat-related PTSD.
