Research on the Construction of the College English Multimodal Classroom Environment

Abstract:Based on the basic theories of constructivism learning theory and the prominent advantages of the multimodal cognition, we explore constructing a new kind of college English classroom environment-----multimodal classroom environment, aiming at dealing with the problems of college English classroom teaching, namely, the problem of teacher's extreme discourse power and students' extreme lack of discourse power in classroom teaching, as well as the problem that college English listening, speaking, reading and writing courses are independent of each other and can not effectively link up with each other.
