Abstract:The paper addressed the self-feedback control,dislocation feedback control and adaptive control strategies for a unified chaotic system.The strict theoretical proof was put forward,numerical simulations were provided to show the effectiveness of these methods.The deficiency of Ref.［10］ was also corrected.

Abstract:In this paper, based on the stability properties of a passive system, a simple linear state feedback controller is proposed to realize the stability control of a unified chaotic system. Using this method, we can render the non-passive unified chaotic system to be equivalent to a passive one. Simulation results are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

As an example, this method is used to control a three-variable model of system. Abstract:The new chaos control method presented in this paper is useful for taking advantage of chaos. Based on sliding mode control theory, this paper provides a switching manifold controlling strategy of chaotic system, and also gives a kind of adaptive parameters estimated method to estimate the unknown systems' parameters by which chaotic dynamical system can be synchronized. Taking the Lorenz system as example, and with the help of this controlling strategy, we can synchronize chaotic systems with unknown parameters and different initial conditions.

Abstract:This paper studies the stability of the fractional order unified chaotic system. On the unstable equilibrium points, the "equivalent passivity" method is used to design the nonlinear controller. With the definition of fractional derivatives and integrals, the Lyapunov function is constructed by which it is proved that the controlled fractional order system is stable. With Laplace transform theory, the equivalent integer order state equation from the fractional order nonlinear system is obtained, and the system output can be solved. The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the theory.

Abstract:In order to realize the stabilizing control of the unified chaos system, optimal control was designed for the unified chaos system based on the minimum principle. The two equilibria of the unified chaos system, which are essentially unstable, can be stabilized by the optimal controller. In case of clarity and completeness, all the three different switching surfaces or curves which are depend on the imposed positions of the control signal are derived and the resulted control law is proved to be a bang-bang one. Logic decision part is employed to guarantee the right action of the control when it is added to the third equation so as to overcome the drawback of the single switching control. Simulation results of the transient process of the states and the projections of the phase locus of the closed control system are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the suggested scheme.

Abstract:Control chaos of the Chen chaotic system was discussed by using the passive control theory. With the study of the property of passive system, the essential conditions under which the Chen chaotic system could be equivalent to a passive system via smooth state feedback were derived. It was found that the new system transformed by the Chen chaotic system, could be globally asymptotically stabilized at different equilibrium points, provided that suitable controllability-like rank conditions were satisfied. Simulation results indicated that the proposed chaos control method is very effective in Chen chaotic systems.

Abstract:Constrained control is designed in this paper for chaotic Lu¨ system based on the Minimum Principle.The two equilibria of Lu¨ system,which are essentially unstable,can be stabilized by the constrained control action.In case of clarity and completeness,all three different switching surfaces or curves which are depending on the imposed positions of the control signal are derived.The first two of them among the resulted control laws are proved to be bang-bang ones.In order to overcome the constraint of the bang-bang control in the third one,we employed a captured zone with adjustable range according to the ergodicity of chaotic motion,so another control law is a compound one,consisting of bang-bang action and logic switching.Finally,the effectiveness of the suggested scheme is demonstrated and verified by the simulation results of a ultimate closed-control system.

Abstract:In this paper,the stability of the 3-D chaotic system is analyzed.Adaptive control method is applied to control the chaotic system to its unstable equilibrium points with all the parameters unknown.Adaptive synchronization method is designed to synchronize the chaotic system.The Lyapunov second method is used to prove theoretically the effectiveness of this method.Numerical simulations are presented to verify the effectiveness of the control and synchronization scheme.

Abstract:Based on adaptive nonlinear feedback technique, two appropriate controllers are designed to suppress the chaotic behavior of the whole family of the generalized Lorenz system. The derived controllers have nonlinear compensator mechanisms to compensate the system nonlinearities and external disturbances. As a result the output trajectory control is accomplished. According to Lyapunov stability theory the stability analysis of the closed-loop control system is deduced. By numeric simulation, it has been shown that the designed controllers can successfully regulate the chaotic motion of the whole family of the system to a given point or make the output state to track a given bounded signal with great robustness. At the same time the required closed loop behavior is obtained. The most important effect of this letter is that under the actions of the universal controllers deduced from the adaptive technique the problem of chaos suppression of all the Lorenz-type systems can be solved successfully. Moreover the controllers have the ability of attenuating disturbances and the controller parameters are easy to tune according to rigorous analysis of stability. Based on theoretic analysis the designed controllers also provide a heuristic approach for other chaos suppression problems.

Abstract:A tracking control method is proposed for continuous chaotic system based on the Lyapunov stability theory.Using this method can make the controlled system approach to any reference signal.The structure of the designed controller is independent of that of the chaotic system.The numerical simulations of Chua's circuit,Lorenz system and Rossler system are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:A synchronization control approach for unified chaotic system with uncertainties and time delay is presented using passive control theory. The stability of the synchronization error system is studied so that the unified chaotic system can be synchronized with uncertainties and channel time delay. Because the chaotic trajectory is limitary and the nonlinear function of the unified chaotic system satisfies Lipschitz condition, the error system transformed by synchronization error system can be globally asymptotically stabilized by state feedback, therefore it implements the synchronization control of unified chaotic system with uncertainties and time delay. Simulation results show that the adaptive passive synchronization scheme is efficient, and the generalized synchronization can also be realized.

A 296 (2002) 87], in this Letter the third condition was toughed upon by their ways, and a special problem which was unlike the already results was investigated and the corresponding solving strategy was put forward, simulation results were also provided to verify the suggested scheme.

Abstract:This Letter further improves and extends the work of Wang et al. [Phys. Lett. A 312 (2003) 34]. In detailed, the linear feedback synchronization and adaptive feedback synchronization with only one controller for a unified chaotic system are discussed here. It is noticed that this unified system contains the noted Lorenz and Chen systems. Two chaotic synchronization theorems are attained. Also, numerical simulations are given to show the effectiveness of these methods.

Abstract:In this paper, the problem of control for a class of chaotic systems is considered. The nonlinear functions of chaotic systems are not necessarily to satisfy the Lipsichtz conditions, but bounded by a polynomial with the gains unknown. Employing adaptive method, the corresponding controller which renders the closed-loop system asymptotically stable is constructed. The designed controller is robust with respect to certain class of disturbances in the chaotic systems. Simulations on unified chaotic systems and Arneodo chaotic system are performed and the results verify the validity of the proposed techniques.

Abstract:This paper presents an adaptive strategy for controlling chaotic systems. By employing the phase space reconstruction technique in nonlinear dynamical systems theory, the proposed strategy transforms the nonlinear system into canonical form, and employs a nonlinear observer to estimate the uncertainties and disturbances of the nonlinear system, and then establishes a state-error-like feedback law. The developed control scheme allows chaos control in spite of modeling errors and parametric variations. The effectiveness of the proposed approach has been demonstrated through its applications to two well-known chaotic systems: Duffing oscillator and Rössler chaos.

Abstract:The control of Chen's chaotic system when its parameters are known a priori or unknown is studied by means of a simple linear state feedback method. When the parameters are known a priori, we show the variation range of feedback gain; and when the parameters are unknown, an adaptive controller is designed, which overcomes the drawback that the control is discontinuous in a common adaptive controller. Finally the simulation results vertify the effectiveness of our proposed method.

Abstract:We present a systematic design procedure to Chua's chaotic system based on back-stepping procedure. This approach needs only a transformation to realize. Combining the backstepping method with robust control technology, an adaptive parameter control law is developed and thus the output tracking is successfully accomplished for the system with unknown parameters and dynamic uncertainties. It is proved that the derived robust adaptive controller based on Lyapunov stability theory can guarantee that all states of the closed-loop system are globally uniformly ultimately bounded, and lead the system tracking error to a small neighborhood. Finally simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract:Control problem of chaotic system is investigated via adaptive method. A fairly simple adaptive controller is constructed, which can control chaotic systems to unstable fixed points. The precise mathematical models of chaotic systems need not be known and only the fixed points and the dimensions of chaotic systems are required to be known. Simulations on controlling different chaotic systems are investigated and the results show the validity and feasibility of the proposed controller.

Abstract:The definition of partial variables inverse sequence feedback controller of a chaotic system is proposed. We studied this kind of controller with Chen's chaotic system and get the existing condition of the controller, and extended the conclusion of the related article, so get various controllers of the chaotic system. Numerical simulations are presented to show that chaotic system control based on partial variables feedback is simple and effective.

Abstract:In this article,we consider the issues of hyper-chaotic control and hyper-chaotic synchronization for a new presented hyper-chaotic system.In the hyper-chaotic control,when the parameter is known,the two controllers are designed scientifically,one is the linear controller,the other is the velocity feedback controller,and sufficient conditions are respectively presented to stabilize the chaotic system to any appointed unstable equilibrium points. The situation before controlling and after controlling is compared,and effective and scientific control is graphically illustrated.In the hyper-chaotic synchronization,when the parameter is unknown,four nonlinear controllers and an adaptive role for estimating the unknown parameter are designed scientifically,and a sufficient condition is presented to assure globally complete synchronization.Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the design is feasible.
