Abstract:Multi-effects evaporation with thermal vapor compression (MEE-TVC) is one of the most effective desalination method in which the TVC plays a main role with consideration of energy consumption. In this paper, the steady-state mathematical model of MEE-TVC based on LINGO algorithm is developed and is examined against commercial desalination plants. The model can be adapted to conventional equal temperature difference design method and equal heat transfer area design method as well because of the generality of the model and the maintainability of the programs. By inducing suction position variable the influence of parameters of TVC including suction position, suction pressure, motive vapor pressure, top brine temperature etc. on the operation of MEE-TVC system is investigated. It is found that the improvement of performance ratio and decreasing energy consumption can be achieved by optimization of integrating TVC suction position with operations of each effect. The end effect is almost the optimal position for TVC expect for some cases in equal temperature difference design situation with regards of the gain output ratio as objective. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. Abstract:In this paper a three dimensional numerical model was developed for modeling solute removal in subsurface flow constructed wetlands. The numerical model was applied to modeling TP removal in the horizontal subsurface constructed wetland (HSSF) and the wavy subsurface constructed wetland (WSSF). The simulated values of TP at the outlet had a good agreement with the experimental results in both HSSF and WSSF. The numerical model could be used as a practical tool for design and operation optimization. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. Then the calculation models of the hydraulic and water quality reliability are established. Finally, a simulated municipal water distribution system is taken as the example to validate the rationality and feasibility of the models. The results show that the models established in this paper is reasonably and feasibly to be used into practice.

In this study, the Response Surface Methodology, RSM, was adopted to investigate effects of operational conditions including aeration intensity, fiber length and feed concentration. The membrane fouling rate was used to evaluate the effects on the membrane fouling. The results had shown that for one end suction fiber module the Membrane fouling rate (MFR) has been affected by the air sparging and fiber length, the feed concentration has a slight influence on it under the experimental design condition. We conclude that the magnitude of the effective on MFR for the three factors is respectively air sparging, fiber length and feed concentration.

How to make combination of agile virtual enterprises optimal is one of the key problems in project management. Due to complexity of member selection process, this paper proposed a mathematical model of enterprises selection and optimization based on genetic algorithm and analytic hierarchy process. The weights for every weight can be determined by analytic hierarchy process and the candidate manufacturing enterprises can be optimized by an improved genetic algorithm, which the crossover operator was improved and put forward a kind of correction strategy for chromosome. At last, a typical simulation case was given and illustrated the model's validity.

Then 76 items of water conservation evaluation indicators are screened by utilizing the frequency analysis method combined with the Delphi method on the basis of the frame model. Furthermore, the complete water conservation evaluation index system of industrial enterprises is established through weighting the indexes by applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process.

The combination mode of 'source controlling(concentration) -sewage interception(conduction)-recycling' is put forward to solve the above problems of rural nonpoint source pollution, such as a wide range of space-time, great uncertainty, mixed up ingredients and processes, unmanageable, and generate resources from wastes. The model includes biogas purification recycling, pound purification recycling, constructed wetland purification recycling etc. three patterns. It not only brings environmental benefits, but also produces notable economic benefits. It could remove more than 56%COD and TP, nearly 68%TN, NH4+-N and NO3--N, 82% NO2--N. Economic benefits have increased by almost 50% to 300,000 Yuan in 2010.
