Abstract:The fractional-order nonlinear Allen Cahn problem frequently appears in the process of phase separation in multi-component alloy systems, including order-disorder transitions. Due to its huge involvement, its accurate solutions become a challenging task among researchers. In this context, this article addresses a novel operational-based scheme to capture the accurate solutions of the fractional-order Allen Cahn model. Firstly, the time derivative is approximated by means of the implicit finite difference method. Then, the space variable is approximated by means of Vieta-Lucas polynomials. Novel operational matrices of fractional-order and positive integer order are developed to replace the spatial derivative terms present in the discussed problem. The anticipated computational scheme converts the fractional-order nonlinear Allen Cahn problem to a system of linear algebraic equations which is easier to tackle. Some problems are considered to validate the accuracy, credibility, and reliability of the present method. An inclusive comparative study is reported which demonstrates that the proposed computational scheme is effective, accurate, and well-matched to find the numerical solutions of the aforementioned problems. Convergence, error bound, and stability of the suggested method is investigated theoretically and numerically. It is also noted that the convergence control parameter in spatial direction is depend more significantly than the convergence control parameter in temporal direction.
