Abstract:Currently, the research on the security and credibility issues of the Next Generation Internet (NGI) is still insufficient. China has made some progress in the trustworthy NGI area. Institutes including Tsinghua University completed the National 863 High-tech Project, Research on key technologies of trustworthy next generation Internet and application demonstration, which focuses on the security and credibility issues of the current Internet. On this basis of source address validation technology, the project designed and implemented prototype systems of trustworthy Internet infrastructures, security services, and typical applications. The trustworthy NGI is expected to provide support for building of trustworthy computer network applications, trustworthy telecom network applications, and trustworthy IPTV network applications.

Abstract:The Mobile Internet is an integrated product of the traditional internet and mobile communications, and represents one of the most rapidly growing IT fields for the current and a long period of time.However, data show that the global mobile internet is still in its infancy, there exist many problems to be solved and clarified.This paper first outlines the basic concept of the mobile internet, including its definition, features, and architecture.Then, based on the current architecture, we discussed in detail the research status, problems, and solutions of its various components, including mobile terminals, access network, applications and services, as well as security and privacy.Finally, future research and development trends of cloud computing were discussed.

Abstract:The Internet has become a major part of the global communications infrastructure supporting modern-day socio-economic development, social progress and technological innovation. Invented 30 years ago, today the Internet is facing severe challenges. Many countries have funded research projects on the new-generation Internet, such as GENI, FIND, FIRE and CNGI, in an effort to solve these challenges. In addition, over the past few years, the networking research community has engaged in an ongoing conversation about how to move the Internet forward, and there are now two different approaches towards Internet research. The first approach is based on using the existing Internet architecture to solve the major technical challenges-this is called 'evolutionary' research. The other, which is called the 'clean slate', involves the design of an entirely new Internet architecture. In the first part of this paper, the basic features of the next generation Internet and its principal contradictions are analysed. Then a survey of recent progress in the study of the next generation Internet in China is discussed. Finally, the focus and direction for the next step in research are presented as based on fundamental research into the international next generation Internet architecture, and the many new innovative demands placed on Internet architecture in recent years.

Abstract:After over forty years' development in an extraordinary speed, the Internet is confronting profoundly different social and economic environments, with the continuously increasing users demands. However, the essence and key designs of the current Internet have remained untouched during the past decades. Over the same years, Internet users have been calling for a better Internet that features significantly improved flexibility, security, mobility and manageability etc. Entering the twenty-first century, researchers from major economies have paid considerable attention to the design and evaluation of the Future Internet, supported by national large-scale efforts such as FIND (Future Internet Design)([1]) in U. S., FIRE (Future Internet Research & Experimentation)([2]) in EU, AKARI in Japan as well as other research programs. Recognizing the significance of those four expected features mentioned before, this paper states a review of major, significant research programs of the Future Internet and presents a brief indication of possible trends in this field.

Abstract:As the information network plays a more and more important role globally, the traditional network theories and technologies, especially those related to network security, can no longer meet the network development requirements. Offering the system with secure and trusted services has become a new focus in network research. This paper first discusses the meaning of and aspects involved in the trusted network. According to this paper, the trusted network should be a network where the network’s and users’ behaviors and their results are always predicted and manageable. The trustworthiness of a network mainly involves three aspects: service provider, information transmission and terminal user. This paper also analyzes the trusted network in terms of trusted model for network/user behaviors, architecture of trusted network, service survivability and network manageability, which is designed to give ideas on solving the problems that may be faced in developing the trusted network.

Abstract:As traditional network security cannot meet the security requirements, the international research shows that network security is on the way to Trustworthy Internet and that the trustworthy issue becomes a hot topic in the future Internet. Trust evaluation of users' behavior is an important part of Trustworthy Internet and a rational trust model plays a key role in the evaluation. This paper concludes many principles of the trust model by analyzing existing trust models and proposes a novel trust model including both the direct and indirect trust. In our model, the direct trust is more trustworthy and is weighted more with the more and more interactions and the indirect evaluation becomes less and less important. The subjective factor is considered to make the direct trust obey the principle of "rise-lowly, decline-quickly". Furthermore, recommenders' credibility is taken into account in the indirect trust evaluation, which can avoid the denigration and make indirect trust more objective. We also consider the process of referral of the credibility to gain more information to evaluate the indirect trust effectively. Credibility evaluation is the basis of the filtering of low credibility and the improvement of trust evaluation. Finally, several experiments are shown to illustrate the properties of the model. © 2009 IEEE.

Abstract:While the information network's basic and global effect is gradually becoming more and more significant, traditional network theories, especially the network security theory, are not good enough to support the network's development. Supplying systematic and trustworthy services is the trend of the network study. In this paper, the trustworthy network is a kind of network whose behaviors and results can be predicted and managed by users. The trustworthy network has three components, namely, network service provider, network transmission and end user. Abstract:As the demands on the size,functionality,performance and other aspects of Internet keep increasing,current Internet which using IPv4 as the core technology is facing severe technical challenges.In recent years,next-generation Internet and its applications has gained the particular concerns of many countries,and the developed countries have launched the national next-generation Internet research projects intended to seize the core technology of future Internet.National Basic Program of China(973 Program) Research of Future Internet Architecture,after nearly five years of research,made the preliminary findings in exploring the basic issues of new-generation Internet architecture: Refined four basic scientific questions of new-generation Internet architecture,preliminarily proposed multi-dimension scalable architecture of new-generation Internet and its basic elements,extended in-depth study of new-generation Internet architecture to the expansion of five multi-dimension aspects,such as the scale-scalability based on IPv6,performance-scalability based on scalable exchange node,security-scalability based on authentic IPv6 addressing,function-scalability based on 4over6 mechanism,and service-scalability based on end-to-end connectionless Quality-of-Service control.These five basic elements will form the basis of new-generation Internet.

Abstract:Trusted computing is based on a hardware security mechanism establishing a trusted computing environment and comprehensively enhances the system and network trust from the architectural perspective. With the development of information technology and continuous emergence of new application scenarios, security threats in the cyberspace are becoming increasingly serious; hence, trusted computing is actively researched in both academia and industry to find solutions against such treats. This paper summarizes the development process of trusted computing theory from the perspective of innovation and development. The study centers around one of the authors research results in trusted computing over the past 20 years. It proposes a trusted computing technology architecture that covers two method foundations, three trust cores, and four key technologies. Furthermore, the paper summarizes important research problems in mobile trusted computing, quantum-resistant trusted computing, trusted Internet of Things (IoT), trusted cloud, and trusted blockchain, elaborating on the integration and development of trusted computing in these fields. In mobile trusted computing, the design and implementation of a trusted execution environment architecture with software/hardware co-design is the focus of research. Another two important research issues in mobile trusted computing are the runtime security isolation and protection of the mobile operating systems kernel and trusted execution environment-based mobile application security protection. Due to the characteristics of embedded environments and limitation of resources, the construction of lightweight trusted roots, efficient and secure software attestation, practical secure code update mechanism, and swarm device attestation are important issues for further research in trusted IoT. In new scenarios such as quantum-resistant trusted computing, trusted cloud, and trusted blockchain, trusted computing is also constantly expanding its application boundaries and playing an increasingly important role. Finally, this paper looks ahead and discusses the development trends in trusted computing.

In this paper, the roadmap of Internet is reviewed, and the successful experience and failed lesson are summarized. From the point of view of application requirements, some essential attributes possessed by the new generation Internet are predicted and concluded, namely controllability, trustworthiness, and scalability, which are explained and discussed in detail. Abstract:: The ever-increasing demand for new businesses and the continuous development of the Internet economy have increasingly demanded network communications and service capabilities, and the infrastructure and the deriving technology system of the existing network still face a series of major challenges. New network architectures and key technologies have become the core of a new round of technological revolution and industrial upgrading in the world. Therefore, studying the strategic conception and development paths of new network technology innovation becomes an urgent need for China. In this article, we analyze the challenges faced by the current network technology, discuss the development status of new network fields in China and abroad, and summarize the development trend of new network technologies. Subsequently, we summarize the gaps and development goals of China in the new network field. Finally we propose the key technologies for the new network development in China, including new network architecture, network full-dimension definable technology, polymorphic addressing and routing technology, network intelligence technology, and endogenous security structure. From the aspect of technology roadmap, we suggest that an open, integrated, and secure new architecture should be established to build a new network environment that is intelligent, diversified, personalized, robust, and efficient. From the aspect of national policy, we suggest that support policies should be formulated regarding technology research and development, industrial ecology construction, and market access.

Abstract:The primary problem during the evolvement of next-generation Internet is the contradiction between growing requirements for Internet and the insufficient development of network theory and technology. As the fundamental principles to guide the developing direction of Internet, the study of Internet architecture is always a focus in the research community. To address the core issue of network scalability, we propose multi-dimension scalable architecture of next-generation Internet, the main idea of which is to extend the single-dimension scalability of traditional Internet on interconnection to multi-dimension scalability of next-generation Internet. The multi-dimension scalability is composed of scale-scalability, performance-scalability, security-scalability, function-scalability, and service-scalability. We suggest five elements, namely, IPv6, authentic IPv6 addressing, scalable processing capacity of routers, end-to-end connectionless Quality-of-Service control, and 4over6 mechanism to realize the multi-dimension scalability. The current research results show that the multi-dimension scalable architecture composed of these five elements will bring great influence on next-generation Internet.
