Review of Rural Planning in the Process of Urbanization：Case of Henan Province

Abstract:Rural development has its own discipline which is different from urban development, so it is difficult for rural planning to apply the technical methodology of urban planning directly. Although rural planning has been studied more and more since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it’s still weak in the exploration. Review and relfection of rural planning helps us to understand the nature and signiifcance of rural planning profoundly, which has important practical and theoretical value to guide rural development under the process of urbanization. In this paper, we will take Henan province as an example to review rural planning development using diachronic and synchronic modal analysis method. Through review and relfection of rural planning, we will build technology-oriented guidelines of rural planning under the background of new-style urbanization which provides research support to rural development.
