Abstract:Present study reports black-edged fin sandlance, Bleekeria nigrilinea Psomadakis, Yoshinaga, Wah et Ida, 2021, for the first time from the Bay of Bengal, Indian waters, on the basis of three specimens. Specimens were collected from the Shankarpur fishing harbour and identified as Bleekeria nigrilinea through molecular analysis and were subjected to full morphological analysis. This species has previously been reported from the Andaman Sea (Myanmar and Thailand).
