Abstract:Image denoising is an important image processing task, both as itself, and as a preprocessing in image processing pipeline. The least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) has shown to exhibit excellent classification performance in many applications. Based on undecimated discrete wavelet transform, a new wavelet-based image denoising using LS-SVM is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the noisy image is decomposed into different subbands of frequency and orientation responses using the undecimated discrete wavelet transform. Secondly, the feature vector for a pixel in a noisy image is formed by the spatial regularity in wavelet domain, and the LS-SVM model is obtained by training. Then the wavelet coefficients are divided into two classes (noisy coefficients and noise-free ones) by LS-SVM training model. Finally, all noisy wavelet coefficients are relatively well denoised by shrink method, in which the adaptive threshold is utilized. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method can obtain better performances in terms of both subjective and objective evaluations than those state-of-the-art denoising techniques. Especially, the proposed method can preserve edges very well while removing noise.

Abstract:The least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) is a modified version of SVM, which uses the equality constraints to replace the original convex quadratic programming problem. Consequently, the global minimizer is much easier to obtain in LS-SVM by solving the set of linear equation. LS-SVM has shown to exhibit excellent classification performance in many applications. In this paper, a wavelet-based image denoising using LS-SVM is proposed. Firstly, the noisy image is decomposed into different subbands of frequency and orientation responses using the wavelet transform. Secondly, the feature vector for a pixel in a noisy image is formed by the spatial regularity in wavelet domain, and the LS-SVM model is obtained by training. Abstract:Wavelet image denoising has been one of important method of denoising for image processing in recent years. In this paper, The denoising operators used in wavelet domain based on least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM) are obtained and image denoising using proposed operators is given, based on the principle of wavelet denoising. In the experiment of image denoising, the influence of different parameters has been studied when two kernel functions are chosen for least squares support vector machines. Compared with the method of WaveShrink and Median Filter under different signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), results show that the proposed image denoising technique is effective in removing Gaussian noise and preserving edge information well.

Abstract:>We propose a new method for image denoising combining wavelet transform and support vector machines (SVMs).A new image filter operator based on the least squares wavelet support vector machines (LS- WSVMs) is presented.Noisy image can be denoised through this filter operator and wavelet thresholding technique.Experimental results show that the proposed method is better than the existing SVM regression with the Gaussian radial basis function (RBF) and polynomial RBF.Meanwhile,it can achieve better performance than other traditional methods such as the average filter and median filter.

Abstract:For image denoising, the main challenge is how to preserve the information-bearing structures such as edges and textures to get satisfactory visual quality when improving the signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR). Edge-preserving image denoising has become a very intensive research topic. In this paper, we propose an image denoising using support vector machine (SVM) classification in nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) domain. Firstly, the noisy image is decomposed into different subbands of frequency and orientation responses using the NSCT. Secondly, the feature vector for a pixel in a noisy image is formed by the spatial regularity in NSCT domain, and the least squares support vector machine (LS-M) model is obtained by training. Then the NSCT detail coefficients are divided into two classes (edge-related coefficients and noise-related ones) by LS-SVM training model. Finally, the detail subbands of NSCT coefficients are denoised by using shrink method, in which the adaptive Bayesian threshold is utilized. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method can obtain better performances in terms of both subjective and objective evaluations than those state-of-the-art denoising techniques. Especially, the proposed method can preserve edges very well while removing noise.

Abstract:Adaptive image denoising method decomposes the original image into a series of basic pattern feature images on the basis of wavelet description and constructs the support vector machine regression function to realize the wavelet description of the original image. The support vector machine method allows the linear expansion of the signal to be expressed as a nonlinear function of the parameters associated with the SVM. Using the radial basis kernel function of SVM, the original image can be extended into a MEXICAN function and a residual trend. This MEXICAN represents a basic image feature pattern. If the residual does not fluctuate, it can also be represented as a characteristic pattern. If the residuals fluctuate significantly, it is treated as a new image and the same decomposition process is repeated until the residuals obtained by the decomposition do not significantly fluctuate. Experimental results show that the proposed method in this paper performs well; especially, it satisfactorily solves the problem of image noise removal. It may provide a new tool and method for image denoising.

Abstract:Image denoising is the basis of correct recognition image information and a reliable security for image for further processing. This paper,after fully considering the relationship between samples,improves the mem-bership degree of basing on the sample distance to determine,to build a kind of improved wavelet coefficient and fuzzy support vector machine model for image denoising,and remote sensing image denoising to use the model. The study results show that the method can well separate the noise from the image,and can keep the image im-portant detailed information.

Abstract:Denoising of images is one of the most basic tasks of image processing. It is a challenging work to design a edge-preserving image denoising scheme. Extended discrete Shearlet transform (extended DST) is an effective multi-scale and multi-direction analysis method, it not only can exactly compute the shearlet coefficients based on a multiresolution analysis, but also can provide nearly optimal approximation for a piecewise smooth function. Based on extended DST, an image denoising using fuzzy support vector machine (FSVM) is proposed. Firstly, the noisy image is decomposed into different subbands of frequency and orientation responses using the extended DST. Secondly, the feature vector for a pixel in a noisy image is formed by the spatial regularity in extended DST domain, and the FSVM model is obtained by training. Finally, the detail subbands of extended DST coefficients are denoised by using the adaptive Bayesian threshold. Abstract:Support vector machine (SVM) is a popular machine learning technique and its variant least squares support vector regression (LS-SVR) is effective for image denoising. However, conventional LS-SVR does not fully consider the sampling distribution of noisy images, which may degrade the performance of the algorithm. In this paper, we propose a new fuzzy density weight SVR (FDW-SVR) denoising algorithm, which assigns fuzzy priority to each sample according to its density weight. FDW is designed to estimate the joint probability density function via the fuzzy theory based on the pixel density and neighborhood density. Extensive experimental results show that FDW-SVR is superior to those state-of-the-art denoising techniques in light of both subjective and objective evaluations.

Abstract:Rather than attempting to separate signal from noise in the spatial domain, it is often advantageous to work in a transform domain. Building on previous work, a novel denoising method based on local adaptive least squares support vector regression is proposed. Investigation on real images contaminated by Gaussian noise has demonstrated that the proposed method can achieve an acceptable trade off between the noise removal and smoothing of the edges and details.

Abstract:An optimized image denoising algorithm is proposed based on wavelet transform directional information and SVD.As the image noise is mainly concentrated in the high-frequency,and the coefficient is small,using singular value decomposition of large singular values and corresponding eigenvectors reconstructed image noise out,but because of the inherent direction of the singular value decomposition,denoising result of diagonal sub-image reconstructed is not satisfactory,we rotate the diagonal sub-image to the level(vertical),then use the singular value filtering,at low-frequency only use simple wiener filter,and finally use anti-wavelet transform to reconstruct the denoising image.Experimental results show that this method is effective in denoising,while it retains the original details.

Abstract:A new method of image denoising was presented via combining contourlet transform and the stationary wavelet transform which has an iterative filer bank with stationary wavelet transform and the directional filter banks (DFB). The experimental results show that in terms of image denoising, the proposed method can suppress speckle in SAR images effectively while preserving the edge features and textural information of the scene.

Secondly, the feature vector for a pixel in a noisy image is formed by the spatial regularity in PDTDFB domain, and the least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) model is obtained by training. Then the PDTDFB detail coefficients are divided into two classes (edge-related coefficients and noise-related ones) by LS-SVM training model. Finally, the detail subbands of PDTDFB coefficients are denoised by using the different parameters to control the multiscale and multidirectional anisotropic diffusion. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method can obtain better performances in terms of both subjective and objective evaluations than those state-of-the-art denoising techniques. Especially, the proposed method can preserve edges very well while removing noise.

Abstract:Based on nonsubsampled shearlet transform (NSST) and fuzzy support vector machines (FSVMs), we present a new denoising approach that can effectively suppress noise from an image while keeping its features intact. The noisy image is firstly decomposed into different subbands of frequency and orientation responses using NSST. The NSST detail coefficients are then divided into edge/texture-related coefficients and noise-related ones by FSVMs classifier. And finally the detail subbands of NSST coefficients are denoised by using the adaptive Bayesian threshold. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our approach is competitive relative to many state-of-the-art denoising techniques. Especially, the proposed method can preserve edges very well while removing noise.

Abstract:In order to denoise image,this paper proposed a new method based on support vector value and undecimated directional filter bank.It used the proposed algorithm to decompose noise images at multi-scale and multi-direction by support vector value directional filter bank(SVDFB).It was considered that the coefficients statistic characteristic of test image by SVDFB obeyed general Gaussian distribution,adopted local adaptive Bayes shrinkage factor.The simulation results and experimental analysis show that the proposed algorithm outperforms in both peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) and visual quality,and effectively preserves texture and detail information of original images.

Abstract:An optimized image singular value decomposition(SVD) denoising algorithm based on wavelet transform directional information and peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR) was proposed.As most of the energy noises were concentrated in low-frequency sub-image after wavelet transform,the simple Wiener filtering was made;on the other hand,the image noises were mainly concentrated in the high-frequency sub-image with three different directions and the coefficient was smaller,so the larger singular values of SVD and their corresponding eigenvectors were used to reconstruct denoising image;however,because of the inherent directional feature of the SVD,the denoising result of image reconstructed from high-frequency diagonal sub-image was not satisfied,so the diagonal sub-image was rotated to the level(vertical) direction,then the SVD filtering was done;finally,the anti-wavelet transform was used to reconstruct the denoising image based on the low-frequency and high-frequency sub-images,and the required number of singular values was determined by PSNR of the image.Experimental results show that this method has effective denoising effect,while retaining the high-frequency original details.
