Abstract:Senior leadership has been identified as a critical factor in fostering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems success, however, the specific impact mechanism of transformational leadership on ERP success is still largely unknown. Based on organizational culture theory and knowledge based view, this study developed a theoretical model to explore the mediating effect of organizational culture and knowledge sharing on transformational leadership and ERP success. Data was collected from 115 IS executives and 413 ERP end users in 115 organizations in China. Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis results suggest that transformational leadership is directly related with all the four types of organizational culture - development culture, group culture, hierarchical culture and rational culture, and is indirectly related with knowledge sharing and ERP success. Specifically, development culture has direct impact on ERP success, while hierarchical culture, group and rational culture are indirectly related with ERP success, mediated by explicit and tacit knowledge sharing. The research findings can provide guidelines for the top executives to facilitate appropriate organizational culture, so as to foster ERP knowledge sharing and achieve business benefits with the assimilation of ERP systems.

Abstract:Based on the extant literature, organization contextual factors are important for organization to motivate employee's effort to take part in the knowledge sharing activities. This paper advances extant literature by investigating one of the key contextual factors which pays attention on leader evaluation, explores the effect of leader evaluation on employee knowledge sharing. The results show that leader positive evaluation has a positive effect on employee knowledge sharing, but leader negative evaluation has a negative effect on that, furthermore, the effect of leader negative evaluation on employee knowledge sharing will weaker when leader evaluation with process oriented is strong rather than weak.
The Impact Mechanism of Transformational Leadership Style on Exploitative and Exploratory Learning of ERP Systems.

Abstract:Transformational leadership has been identified as one of the most critical factors in ERP success. However, few studies have explored how transformational leadership impacts ERP success, especially in the assimilation phase. Drawing from organizational learning and leadership theories, we submit that transformational leadership is positively related to exploitative and exploratory learning, mediated by three types of organizational learning culture. We developed a theoretical model and collected data from top and middle managers of 101 organizations in China that have used ERP systems for at least one year. Our results suggest that (1) transformational leadership is positively related with psychological safety, openness to opinions, and participation in decision making learning culture; (2) the learning culture of psychological safety and participation in decision making partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and exploitative learning of ERP systems; (3) the learning culture of participation in decision making and open to opinions partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and exploratory learning of ERP systems. These results provide guidelines for top managers to exercise specific leadership behaviors and promoteappropriate organizational learning culture, in order to realize the ambidexterity of exploitative and exploratory learning of ERP systems to achieve long term ERP success.

Abstract:This paper explores the effects of organizational culture on ERP implementation.Adopted with scales of Susan,Sonia,and Kenneth,organizational culture is measured with six subscales.The performance of ERP implementation is measured by user satisfaction.With SPSS,research model is tested with 289 valid data.The results confirm that organizational culture,especially climate-morale,involvement,supervision,and meetings;affect the performance of ERP implementation.

Abstract:Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact mechanism of organizational culture (OC) on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) user’s explicit and tacit knowledge-sharing behavior in the context of enterprise systems usage. Design/methodology/approach – Drawing from social cognitive theory, the authors developed a comprehensive model that integrates OC, computer self-efficacy and employees’ knowledge-sharing behaviors. In total, 343 valid questionnaires were collected from ERP users of 115 firms and structural equation modeling technique was used to test the model. Findings – Empirical results suggest that hierarchical culture that focusses on efficacy and uniformity is positively related with employees’ explicit knowledge sharing; group culture that focusses on trust and belonging is positively related with employees’ tacit knowledge sharing, and their relationship is fully mediated by employees’ computer self-efficacy. In addition, computer self-efficacy also partially mediates the relationship between rational culture and employees’ knowledge sharing. Practical implications – This study provides guidelines for top managers to enhance employees’ computer self-efficacy and facilitate employees’ knowledge-sharing behavior by developing appropriate type of OC. Originality/value – This study unpacks the mediating mechanism between OC and knowledge sharing, and contributes to the academic research of knowledge management in the context of enterprise systems assimilation.

Abstract:Leadership can effectively facilitate knowledge sharing among employees, but little attention has been given to investigate the effect mechanism between them. This paper, based on a set of data from 283 respondents in five enterprises, tested the relationship of transformational leadership with knowledge sharing, together with the roles of knowledge sharing climate and chronic regulatory focus through structural equation modeling and hierarchi-cal regression analysis. Results showed that transformational leadership positively relates to knowledge sharing, and affiliation climate mediates this positive relationship. The positive effect of transformational leadership on innova-tiveness climate and fairness climate enhances the perception of affiliation climate, which in turn facilitates knowl-edge sharing indirectly. Employees' chronic regulatory focus moderates the relationship of affiliation climate and fairness climate with knowledge sharing.

Abstract:Drawing from competitive value model and knowledge sharing theory,we developed a research model to explore the impact of developmental culture,group culture,hierarchical culture and rational culture on ERP explicit and implicit knowledge sharing.Field survey was conducted and 343 questionnaires were collected from 115 firms.Results of structural equation modeling suggest that group culture has positive impact on ERP implicit knowledge sharing,while hierarchical and rational culture is positively related to both ERP explicit and ERP implicit knowledge sharing.
Double-Sided Sword of Trust: The Mediating Effect of Affect- and Cognition- Based Trust on the Relationship Between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Knowledge Sharing

Abstract:Knowledge sharing is one of the important measures to build organizational core competence in knowledge economy era.Although there are some studies on the relationship between leadership style and knowledge sharing in organizations,little effort has been made to investigate the mechanism of this relationship,especially the role of trust.Based on the social learning and social exchange theory,this paper reports a study designed to examine the relationship between transformational leadership and knowledge sharing,taking account of the mediating effect of affect-and cognition-based trust on that relationship.Using multiple data sources from 199 employees and 39 corresponding supervisors of one high-tech company,the study revealed a positive correlation between transformational leadership and knowledge sharing,and most importantly,discovered that the affect-and cognitionbased trust play contradictory mediating effect in that process.Specifically,affect-based trust encourages knowledge sharing while cognition-based trust hinders knowledge sharing in the organization.The results suggested that business managers not only rely on self-adjustment of their own leadership behaviors and improvement of motivation system to promote knowledge sharing,but also focus on the positive effect of affect-based trust on knowledge sharing when involving in team staffing.

Abstract:We developed a theoretical model of how leadership style and organizational learning culture impact ERP assimilation and tested this model with data collected from organizations that have used ERP systems for at least 1year. We found that the influence of transformational leadership on organizational learning was strong but mediated by the learning culture and that of transactional leadership on organizational learning was weak but direct. These results offer new perspectives on ERP assimilation theory and provide guidance for top management to exercise specific leadership behavior to achieve ERP assimilation and long-term ERP success.

Abstract:This study examines the mediating effects of cognitive and affective trust on the relationship between follower perceptions of transformational leadership behavior and their work outcomes. Using data obtained from 318 supervisor–subordinate dyads from a manufacturing organization located in mainland China, structural equation modeling results revealed that affective trust fully mediated the relationships between transformational leadership and the work outcomes of followers, including their affective organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs), and job performance. In contrast, cognitive trust negatively mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and follower job performance, and had insignificant effects on their affective organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behaviors. These findings highlight the importance of affective trust as a mechanism which translates transformational leadership into positive work outcomes for the organization.

Abstract:In this study, we theorize the role of the transformational leadership of the CEO in influences the assimilation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) technology in organizations at the end user level. We contend that the level of ERP assimilation among the end-users is positively related to the transformational leadership of the CEO, as reflected on, the dimensions of idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration. More specifically, this model explains how user attitude and user involvement, two widely identified individual level assimilation drivers, are shaped by these dimensions of transformational leadership in the context of assimilation of ERP technology. This model also examines the role of organizational learning culture as a moderator between user involvement and the level of ERP assimilation. Abstract:The transformational leadership,interpersonal trust,and organization commitment for more than 200 managers and employees from different corporate are investigated through questionnaire.The relationships among transformational leadership,interpersonal trust,innovation culture,organizational commitment,and technological innovation performance are analyzed using correlation analysis and structural equation modeling.The analysis results indicate:(1) transformational leadership has a positive influence on the enterprise technological innovation performance;(2)innovation culture is an intermediate variable between transformational leadership and technological innovation performance;(3)interpersonal trust and organization commitment are intermediate variables between transformational leadership and technological innovation performance;(4) there is positive correlation between innovation culture and interpersonal trust,or organization commitment.At last,it is pointed out that the positive relationship between transformational leadership and technological innovation performance will have a significant meaning to the management practice in China.

Abstract:In this study, we examined how and when transformational leadership affected team knowledge exchange. Taking a goal pursuit perspective, we hypothesized two parallel mediating mechanisms-team knowledge goal generation and team knowledge goal striving-linking transformational leadership to team knowledge exchange. In addition, we investigated whether team-level team-member exchange served as a boundary condition that qualified the effects of transformational leadership on team knowledge goal generation and striving. We tested our hypotheses using time-lagged data from 118 work teams of a large Chinese manufacturing firm. Our findings provided support for the proposed parallel mediating mechanisms (i.e., team knowledge goal generation and team knowledge goal striving) that linked transformational leadership to team knowledge exchange. In addition, we found that team-level team-member exchange could strengthen the positive effect of transformational leadership on team knowledge exchange via team knowledge goal generation. By taking the novel lens of team goal pursuit, this study contributes to the literature on leadership and teams by shedding light on how transformational leadership triggers the goal pursuit process of team knowledge exchange.

Abstract:We developed a model in which leader-member exchange mediated between perceived transformational leadership behaviors and followers' task performance and organizational citizenship behaviors. Our sample comprised 162 leader-follower dyads within organizations situated throughout the People's Republic of China. We showed that leader-member. exchange fully mediated between transformational leadership and task performance as well as organizational citizenship behaviors. Implications for the theory and practice of leadership are discussed, and future research directions offered.

Abstract:This study examines the mediating effects of cognitive trust and affective trust on the relationship between supervisors' participative leadership behavior and subordinate work outcomes, using data obtained from 247 dyads in a manufacturing organization located in mainland China. Structural equation modeling revealed that while affective trust fully mediated the relationships between participative leadership of supervisor and subordinate job performance and organizational citizenship behavior, cognitive trust had non-significant effects. These findings underscore the importance of interpersonal interactions between the supervisor and subordinate for engendering subordinate work outcomes. They also lend support to the exchange (relationship)-based explanation as to how trust enhances the response of subordinates to the participative leadership behavior of their immediate supervisor, given that affective trust involves a process of social exchange between both parties over an extended period of time.

Abstract:Teamwork and coordination among team members with different knowledge and expertise are of vital importance to team performance.As teams process and organize knowledge,the transactive memory system combines members' distributed expertise in an attempt to solve the problem of knowledge coordination in teams,thereby allowing the teams concerned to perform effectively.Although several studies have been conducted concerning the factors influencing the team's transactive memory system,little research has been reported on the effect of transformational leadership on the team's transactive memory system.Transformational leadership influences not only the communication and interactions among team members,but also the acquisition and sharing of team knowledge,which plays a key role in shaping and utilizing the team's cognitive structures.Results from a study of 240 company employees indicated that transformational leadership positively affected three dimensions of the team's transactive memory system(i.e.specialization,credibility and coordination).Moreover,the relationships were fully mediated by team trust and team reflexivity.Implications for research on the team's transactive memory system and means to develop a mature team transactive memory system by transformational leadership were also discussed.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of transformational leadership and knowledge-sharing processes on operational and financial performance in Chinese firms. The article applied structural equation modeling to inspect the influence of transformational leadership on knowledge sharing and their effects on organizational performance, based on the data collected from 263 respondents in 112 manufacturing and service companies in China. The findings show that knowledge collecting and knowledge donating mediate the correlation between transformational leadership and two specific aspects of organizational performance. In addition, transformational leadership has a greater influence on financial performance, whereas knowledge sharing is more significantly associated with operational performance. This article highlights the significance of practicing transformational leadership to stimulate individuals’ knowledge-sharing behaviors, which are important prerequisites for improving organizational performance. The article provides clearer understanding for scholars and practitioners about the new and effective pathway to promote firm’s operational and financial performance.

Impact of Transformational Leadership on System Exploration in the Mandatory Organizational Context.

Abstract:Organizational investments in such complex information systems as customer relationship management (CRM) systems have reached a record high. Unfortunately, underutilization of these sophisticated technologies hinders organizations from realizing the promised returns on investment. This study tackles this issue from the perspective of intention to explore, which refers to individual intentions to explore the technology and seek new ways of using it. Drawing upon insights from concepts of exploration, extra-role behavior, technology acceptance, and transformational leadership, this paper proposes a research model for employees' intention to explore in mandatory organizational contexts, with special emphasis on the effect of transformational leadership. The model was examined in a large telecom service company that uses CRM information systems. The results suggest that transformational leadership, intrinsic motivation, and extrinsic motivation (i.e. perceived usefulness) directly affect employees' exploratory intentions. Transformational leadership also indirectly influences intention to explore through individuals' intrinsic motivation and computer self-efficacy.

Abstract:Practices of knowledge management are context-specific and they can influence organizational effectiveness. This study examines the possible mediating role of knowledge management in the relationship between organizational culture, structure, strategy, and organizational effectiveness. A survey was conducted of 301 organizations. The results suggest that knowledge management fully mediates the impact of organizational culture on organizational effectiveness, and partially mediates the impact of organizational structure and strategy on organizational effectiveness. The findings carry theoretical implications for knowledge management literature as they extend the scope of research on knowledge management from examining a set of independent management practices to examining a system-wide mechanism that connects internal resources and competitive advantage.

Abstract:Organisational traits, technological adoption, and transformative leadership in Chinese enterprises are examined in this study using a dataset 2010–2022. The main goal is to understand how transformative leadership affects business performance and how AI-driven ERP systems, organisational scale, and technology adoption culture modulate this relationship. The paper provides a solid framework for understanding these complex linkages using a big dataset using R and SPSS statistical analysis. Revolutionary leadership consistently boosts business. Organisational size mediates and revolutionary leadership may work better in larger organisations. Technology adoption culture highlights an organization's readiness to accept new technology, regulating the relationship. The study also found that AI-driven ERP systems diminish the correlation, suggesting that higher-tech organisations benefit from transformational leadership. This information can help CEOs adjust their technology and company characteristics strategies. Leadership theories benefit from theoretical implications that highlight contextual aspects that affect leadership dynamics. Understanding how organisational culture affects AI-driven revolutionary leadership may also help. Integrating AI and ethical transformative leadership affects sustainability and trust. Finally, the innovative leadership of AI-driven ERP systems in numerous areas and sizes explains it.
