Abstract:The autophagy, including non-selective and selective autophagy such as mitophagy, is rapidly stimulated during acute myocardial infarction (MI). Both non-selective and mitophagy protect the heart against ischemic injury by MI, however, it is not clear if non-selective and mitophagy distinctly contribute to cardiac function.
