Abstract:In this paper, we consider a discrete almost periodic Lotka–Volterra competition system with delays. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the permanence and global attractivity of the system. Further, by means of an almost periodic functional hull theory, we show that the almost periodic system has a unique strictly positive almost periodic solution, which is globally attractive. Some examples are presented to verify our main results.

Abstract:The paper analyzes a discrete second-order, nonlinear delay differential equation with negative feedback. The characteristic equation of linear stability is solved, as a function of two parameters describing the strength of the feedback and the damping in the autonomous system. The existence of local Hopf bifurcations is investigated, and the direction and stability of periodic solutions bifurcating from the Hopf bifurcation of the discrete model are determined by the Hopf bifurcation theory of discrete system. Finally, some numerical simulations are performed to illustrate the analytical results found.

Abstract:By using the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, the existence of a positive periodic solution for the semi-ratio-dependent predator–prey system with nonmonotonic functional responses and time delay is established. Further, by constructing a Lyapunov functional, a set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions are derived for the uniqueness and global stability of positive periodic solutions to the system. Finally, some numerical simulations are carried out to support the theoretical analysis of the research.

Abstract:In this paper, the existence and global exponential stability of periodic solutions for coupled control systems on networks with feedback and time delays (CCSFD) are considered. Several sufficient criteria are given to guarantee the existence and global exponential stability of periodic solutions for CCSFD by combining with coincidence degree theory, Lyapunov method, and graph theory. Furthermore, an application to a class of Lurie coupled control systems on networks is presented to show the feasibility of our results. In the end, a numerical test is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our theoretical results. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract:We consider a differential equation with a discontinuous delayed neutral-type feedback. In the phase space, we describe classes of initial functions that depend on a number of parameters. We show that in a certain time, solutions return to an analogous class, possibly with other parameters. The analysis of the change in the parameters allows describing periodic solutions and their stability. We show that infinitely many of stable periodic solutions exist.

Abstract:In this paper the periodic solution problem of high-order Functional Differential Equations (FDE) with “general” delays is studied. By changing the original equations into its equivalent FDEs and using the characteristic equation of the equivalent FDEs, the sufficient and necessary condition on which the periodic solutions of the original equations exist is presented, i.e., characteristic equation of the equivalent FDEs has nonzero imaginary solutions.

Abstract:In this Letter, for a general class of delayed periodic Lotka–Volterra systems, we prove some new results on the existence of positive periodic solutions by Schauder's fixed point theorem. The global asymptotical stability of positive periodic solutions is discussed further, and conditions for exponential convergence are given. The conditions we obtained are weaker than the previously known ones and can be easily reduced to several special cases.
