Firstly, aimed at assessing the detectability of production effects at the time of the second survey, the rock physical analysis of fluid substitution is conducted, and the most sensitive parameter to fluid is selected. Then the algorithm of the prestack simultaneous inversion is derived, and the multicube inversion process of low frequency model building, wavelet extraction and inversion parameters for time-lapse seismic data should be matched. Finally, remaining oil thickness, expressed as the function of the shale content, porosity and oil saturation, is proposed, and the inversion process is discussed in detail. The application results show that robust 4D anomalies clearly identify the injector preferential pathways and water front movement within the main producing interval, and the final remaining oil thickness distribution will benefit infill adjustment wells deployment and production performance managing.Presentation Date: Tuesday, September 17, 2019Session Start Time: 1:50 PMPresentation Start Time: 1:50 PMLocation: Poster Station 13Presentation Type: PosterKeywords: inversion, interpretation, monitoring, deepwaterPermalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2019-3215684.1FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited byThe Role of Time Lapse(4D) Seismic Technology as Reservoir Monitoring and Surveillance Tool: A Comprehensive ReviewJournal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, Vol. 80 SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2019ISSN (print):1052-3812 ISSN (online):1949-4645Copyright: 2019 Pages: 5407 publication data© 2019 Published in electronic format with permission by the Society of Exploration GeophysicistsPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished Online: 10 Aug 2019 CITATION INFORMATION Guangyi Hu, Xianwen Zhang, Tingen Fan, Huilai Zhang, Zongjun Wang, and Nan Tian, (2019), "Remaining oil thickness inversion of time-lapse seismic data in water flooding reservoir," SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts : 5295-5299. https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2019-3215684.1 Plain-Language Summary KeywordsinversioninterpretationmonitoringdeepwaterPDF DownloadLoading ...
