Abstract:In the current study, by employing 5-((4-carboxypyridin-2-yl)amino)isophthalic acid (H3L), a semirigid carboxylate-pyridine ligand with V-shape, two new transition metal coordination polymers with the chemical formulae of [Cu1.5(L)(H2O)]·2H2O (1) and [Co4(L)2(CH3CN)(OH)2(H2O)4]·3H2O (2) have been successfully prepared through the reaction between the H3L ligand and corresponding metal salts under the solvothermal reaction conditions. Magnetic investigations have suggested that there is antiferromagnetic coupling between neighboring metal ions in the two compounds. The application values of compounds 1 and 2 on the non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) was evaluated and the related mechanism was discussed at the same time. First of all, the Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) detection kit was performed to measure the viability of the non-small cell lung cancer cells after compound treatment. In addition to this, the real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (real time RT-PCR) was used to detect the relative expression levels of the ezh2 gene in NSCLC cells after indicated treatment.

Abstract:Two coordination polymers (CPs) based on Co(II) and Cu(II) ions as metal centers were produced via alternation of auxiliary polycarboxylates with solvothermal reactions between corresponding metal salts and 3,3',5,5'-tetra(1H-imidazole-1-yl)-1,1'-biphenyl (L), and their chemical formulae are [Cu-2(L)(2,6-NDC)(OAc)(2)]center dot 2H(2)O (1) and [Co-2(L)(BPnDC)(2)]center dot 6H(2)O (2) (H(2)BPnDC = 4,4'-carbonyldibenzoic acid and 2,6-H2NDC = 2,6-naphthalic acid). The two compounds' magnetic performances suggested antiferromagnetic coupling interactions between the adjacent metal ions. Their protective activity on myofascial pain syndrome was assessed, and their specific mechanism was studied simultaneously. First, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay detection was carried out to assess the inflammatory cytokine TNF-alpha and IL-6 levels released from fascial cells. Then, the activation of inflammatory response in fascial cells was measured through real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction by evaluating the p53 and nf-kappa b relative expression levels after treatment with the compound. A hemolysis test was conducted to evaluate the safety of the new compounds, and CCK-8 assay was finished to explore the cytotoxicity of compounds 1 and 2.

Abstract:By applying the mixed-ligand approach, a new Cu(II)-based coordination polymer (CP) with the chemical formula of {[Cu(PMBD)(DPB)]center dot DPB}(n)(1, where H2PMBD is 3,3 '-{[1,3-phenylenebis(methylene)]bis (oxy)}dibenzoic acid and DPB is 1,4-bis (pyridin-4-yl)benzene) have been successfully prepared using the solvothermal reaction conditions. CCK-8 assay and cell colony formation assay were performed to detect the inhibitory effect of compound on SW480 rectal cancer cells. The transwell assay was conducted to evaluate the inhibitory effect of compound on SW480 rectal cancer cells migration and invasion.
