Abstract:The status of women in Islam seems to become a big issue under discussion with the rise and development of the feminist movement in western Christian countries.In fact,after undergoing the historical sacrifice and painful struggle,the women in the western world begin to obtain the established status gained by Muslim women from Koran ten centuries ago.The fact that the equal but different right granted by Koran to women from men indicates that the Islam eradicates the sin complex committed by Eve,really giving the deserved rights to women,admitting and respecting the independent personality of women.

Abstract:The main factors that influenced the formation of the worldview of the ancient Egyptian woman have been investigated. The influence of religion on her understanding of the family, her place and purpose in society has been shown. The main criteria of social differentiation of women have been identified. The primary sources, in particular legal monuments, on the basis of which the legal status of women in Ancient Egypt is shown, have been analysed. The features of marriage and family relations have been characterised. The research is based on the principle of historicism. Historical and comparative as well as historical and genetic methods were used to study the peculiarities of marriage and family relations, normative and comparative and hermeneutical methods were used when working with primary sources. The gender approach has led to a comprehensive study of religious, political, legal norms and social institutions, such as the family, family, culture, and more. Generalisations and conclusions have been made, stating that it was in the religion of Ancient Egypt that the united cults of the divine couple with a son-infant appeared, which became a model for the Egyptians in creating their own family. They were the first among the ancient civilisations to consider the family as the basis of society, which gives us grounds to assert that the family in our modern sense emerged in Ancient Egypt. The social status of women was different. The highest were the ruler’s wives and priestesses, and the lowest were maids and slaves. They had no legal rights and were considered property. However, slaves had the right to personal belongings and to have a family. They faced punishment for ill-treatment. Under certain conditions, slaves could become free and receive the rights of an Egyptian woman. It has been noted that free ancient Egyptian women had almost equal legal rights with men, which distinguishes them from women of other ancient civilisations. It has been emphasized that the study of the status of women and the peculiarities of marriage and family relations in Ancient Egypt allows us to see the historical origins of gender inequality, to understand such basic human values as love, mutual respect, responsibility, tolerance, devotion, etc. which should become the basis for addressing modern gender issues.

Abstract:In the history of ancient Egypt, women were an ordinary but indispensable group, occupying an important position in family construction, legal practice and national governance. At the same time, their activities are also reflected in literature, artworks genesis mythology. From the perspective of academic history, the existing achievements of ancient Egyptian women can be summarized as three research directions: image construction, status discrimination and Goddess reflection. In advocating gender study and interdisciplinary construction of academic trend, effectively take example by art, law, literature and other discipline research methods, reasonably draw religious theology, marriage and family theory paradigm, to build a discourse system of world history gender research with Chinese characteristics based on the historical facts of ancient Egypt which has a broad academic prospect.

Abstract:This research concentrates on the analysis of the wisdom quotes compilation within the Qālū wisdom anthology by Anis Mansour. Among other studies on Mansour, examining this anthology of wisdom quotes is significant due to its previously unexplored nature, specifically regarding Mansour's attitude toward women as represented in this work. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method and bibliographic technique, the study describes data related to women's existence and analyzes the data using Simone de Beauvoir's existentialist feminism approach. The findings suggest that Mansour affirms women's existence through his work by portraying more descriptions of women than men. Through these descriptions, women are shown to have superiority over men, even though in some places they are depicted as inferior. The anthology also discusses marriage, women's character, and women's liberation, which from an existentialist feminist viewpoint aligns with Simone de Beauvoir's perspective.

Abstract:The life of most women in American society during the era of the nineteenth century made them into victims as the case with the protagonist of the novel The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Such a life of women as depicted in the novel is full with obstacles that come around due to the negative dealings they face by men aided with bad social norms, which make men use women as a tool to satisfy their sensual desires. Thus, the experience of black women in America is one of such great suffering. This study aims to clarify how Celie and other women suffer a lot to justify their life under the dominance of males as well as filling out their suitable seats in such environment of unjust social norms. Therefore, by studying this topic about the southern slave system, the research is going to have a good understanding of the community of the American society as a whole.

Abstract:In the Han Dynasty,the tax policies relevant to women stipulated that women should burden the same taxes with men,which made women's labor contribution turn to the state from the family on the one hand and made women possess the qualification for the social status on the other hand.The laws in the Han Dynasty also stipulated that women enjoyed the right of property inheritance,which embodied their economic status in the family and society.In addition,measures to give women special treatment and maintain women's deserved rights could also be found in a series of policies made by the government and in the imperial edicts.For example,the enfeoffment and rewards to women,the material privileges for those who were alone,widowed,old and weak,the humanity care for the women prisoners,and the encouragement to chaste women,all of which reflected the government's protection of women's rights and guaranteed the women have enough rights and higher status in the policies.

Abstract:Historically, women have been underrepresented in literature, the arts, and historical records, and their achievements and roles have often been marginalized or ignored. This phenomenon has led to an intriguing paradox: despite the fact that contemporary women have demonstrated strong abilities and potential in various fields, they are still usually considered to be in a disadvantaged position compared to men. This paper aims to explore the complex reasons behind the paradox of womens underrepresentation in history. To this end, it will review the lack of womens image in history, analyze the impact of social, cultural, and institutional factors on this lack of representation, and explore the gender issues that exist in contemporary society. The paper discusses in detail women's achievements in contemporary society, the embodiment of womens power, and the struggle for womens rights, demonstrating the strong capabilities and potential of contemporary women in many fields. The study concludes that the marginalization of women in historical narratives is a result of social structures, cultural norms, and institutional biases. Despite these challenges, contemporary women have made significant strides in various fields, suggesting that gender should not be a determining factor in assessing competence or potential. This paper argues for a greater awareness of gender equality and calls for a fairer and more inclusive reconstruction of historical narratives to ensure that the contributions of all genders are fairly recognized.

Abstract:This study intends to evaluate Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale from the viewpoint of feminist theorist Simone de Beauvoir's The Second Sex, which offers a more nuanced perspective on sexuality and gender. Beauvoir's philosophy centres on the societal systems of oppression that designate women as ‘Other’ to a male reputation. According to her, femininity is something that society imposes on women, and feminism cannot be reduced to a basic biological statement. According to her, ‘Other’ best reflects the primary social function of a woman. She disputes the vocabulary that defines women based on their biology and asserts that biology is the primary cause of women's subjugation in patriarchal societies. She believes that sexuality contributes to the subjugation and exploitation of women. According to Beauvoir, the prostitution business and the heterosexual lifestyle are the two most visible instances of women's exploitation. Clearly, she rejects the notion that heterosexuality is the norm in sexual encounters. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how Atwood employs conjecture to examine feminist issues in The Handmaid's Tale, such as women's identity loss, subordination in a patriarchal society, and exploitation in a consumer culture where the female body is considered an object. In her novel, Atwood examines issues pertaining to the subjugation of women, such as gender inequality and the flaws of the patriarchal system.

Abstract:In ancient Chinese feudal society, the status of women was very low, and women's behavior, language expression, and thought were all imprisoned. For example, the "three-inch golden lotus" is not only to meet the sexual psychology of male perversion but also to destroy the female body, so that women can not travel, thus imprison-women; "Three and four virtues", "good women do not marry two husbands", "women without talent is a virtue" are shackles on female thought. With the progress and development of society, the status of Chinese women has significantly improved, especially women's self-awareness has been greatly improved. At present, the more popular female literary works and dramas of female protagonists are the reflection of female independence and feminist thought. This article begins with the popular TV series “The Rumor of Chen Qianqian”, analyzes the story of the heroine who passes through the past and grows up in the city of Huayuan where women are respected and men are inferior and analyze the growth demands of women in modern society. At the same time as the current social progress, there is still a lot of discrimination and prejudice against women, such as the stereotype that housework is a task exclusively for women, and once women have children, they lose all their desires and needs. In particular, the article calls on society to strengthen publicity to avoid prejudice against women. At the same time, women should pay attention to their personal needs and grow into better themselves; Women are neither dependent on nor hostile to men, and they divide labor reasonably, give play to their respective strengths, and live in harmony.

Abstract:The aim of this paper The Handmaid’s Tale is to scrutinize issues. As there is plenty of traditional feminist critique of male power structures in Atwood’s works, The Handmaid’s Tale argues the power structure of Gilead also analyses the feminine roles that support and allow the suppression of other women. Placing the novel in the contexts of Atwood’s career, feminism, and dystopian literature, provides a fuller understanding of how the novel functions as an expression of the divergence of women. Margaret Atwood focuses on the problems such as gender equality and the dangers of a hierarchical- structured system for women’s oppression. Her focal point is to mention the subservience of women in a male-dominated society and women’s enslavement in a consumer society in which women’s body is handled as object, an instrument and also as adorable item. Margaret Atwood is one of the foremost vivid writers in current Canadian literature. She has vigorously contributed to Canadian politics and its cause. Her works are mostly associated with social and political issues. She contemplates the relation between men and ladies and human basic rights. the topic of gender is the author’s major concern. She depicts the ladies in her novels that always search for their identity which is lost within the male-controlled societies. Oppression of ladies is another theme for her novels and it may be seen evidently in her writings. She encounters the lower position of girls in society. Atwood’s images of gender, the mistreatment and coercion of ladies, predominantly women’s bodies. She signifies the misery of her female characters limited in their feminine roles in her novels. Moreover, femininity is the main fear for examining The Handmaid’s Tale. In Gilead society, women are depressed about their freedom and ordered to serve the state in numerous ways and functions.

Abstract:Gender studies has become a popular field in sociological research. With the deepening of research, womens empowerment is still a considerable challenge facing various industries. As a prosperous dynasty in ancient Chinese history, the Tang Dynasty, because of its inclusive social environment, women had more independent rights compared with other dynasties. This study uses the method of textual research to analyze the historical materials and archaeological evidence of the Tang Dynasty. It was found that women in the Tang Dynasty expected to participate in social affairs, and religious beliefs, especially Buddhism and Taoism, played a role in promoting participation in social affairs. In addition, it is also found that Taoism has made outstanding contributions to the gender equality of women in the Tang Dynasty.

Abstract:The subordination of women in society has become a common phenomenon. The woman's life in traditional Chinese culture is portrayed as someone who must be obedient, submissive, polite, have manners, and be loyal to her husband and others. The Good Earth novel reflects the life of traditional Chinese women in patriarchal power and the role of female characters. This study aims to describe the Chinese community traditions that govern women's lives in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and elucidate the orthodox tradition's effect on the role of female characters. The method applied was Library Research through the Sociological and Psychological Approaches. The data were obtained from The Good Earth novel and secondary data, such as the library, books, critics, writer’s biography, and a novel summary. The research revealed that women had a low position in social status in ancient China. We are familiar with the name of the patriarchy set by Confucius, as illustrated by figure O-lan, Wang Lung's wife as a female character in the novel and character theories, and his contribution will be used as the basis for analysis. The research summarizes that the teachings of the Confucian Philosophy of Culture influence patriarchal power.

Abstract:Abstract The status of women in society is very diverse worldwide. Among many important traits associated with the differentiation of gender inequality is religion, which itself must be regarded as a fluid concept with interpretations and practices ‘embedded’ and thus varying with respect to cultural and historical relations. Admitting the complexity of the issues, some religious norms and traditions can contribute to the formation of gender inequalities and to subordinate the role of women in society. Using an exploratory quantitative analysis, the influence of religiosity on gender inequality in social, economic and political spheres is examined. Three categories of states have emerged from the analysis: (a) states where the majority of inhabitants are without religious affiliation, which display the lowest levels of gender inequality; (b) Christian and Buddhist societies, with average levels of gender inequality; and (c) states with the highest levels of gender inequality across the observed variables, whose inhabitants adhere to Islam and Hinduism.

Abstract:Little Women is a classic work of literature that has captivated readers for generations. It tells the story of four sisters who grow up during the Civil War era in America and explores their struggles with poverty, societal expectations, and their own personal desires. While the book is celebrated for its portrayal of strong female characters and their self-awareness, it also highlights the limitations and one-sidedness of women’s consciousness awakening, particularly with regard to the view of marriage. Alcott’s progressive female thoughts are evident, as she portrays women who are determined to carve out their own paths and not be solely defined by their marital status. However, at the same time, there is an underlying sentiment of traditional gender roles and the idealization of marriage, which limits the full expression of a woman’s agency. This dependence on men is further reinforced by the societal norms and beliefs surrounding marriage during that time, such as portraying it as the ultimate goal of a woman’s life.

Abstract:The Handmaid’s Tale is a dystopian novel by Canadian author Margaret Atwood, originally published in 1985. In the near future, human fertility rates collapse as a result of sexually transmitted diseases and environmental pollution. With this chaos in place, a new, power-hungry, militarized, hierarchical regime of fanaticism took control of the government and established a new country called “Gilead“. They created new social classes, in which women are brutally subjugated, and by law are not allowed to work, own property, handle money, nor read. Women are divided into a small range of social categories that dictate their freedoms and duties: Marthas (who are housekeepers and cooks), Wives (who are expected to run their households), Handmaids (who are forced into sexual and child-bearing servitude) and Aunts (who train and oversee the Handmaids). This paper attempts to analyze the feminist consciousness of Magaret Atwood through the depictions of the characters in the novel. At the same time, it extends to the reflection on the problem of gender inequality in contemporary society.

Abstract:This article examines the legal status of women in the Tangut society based on the materials of the “Amended and Approved New Code of Regnal Era of Heavenly Prosperityˮ, as well as the basic laws that establish the rights and obligations of women in the state of Xi Xia. The articles of the code that define women by social status, are raised. The women’s status is analysed in the whole variety of their social roles in the Tangut state – mother, wife, daughter, widow, concubine, nun, slave. Laws, indicating restrictions on marriage and divorce, and establishing a distinction between a lawful wife and a concubine were also considered. Serious attention is paid to female victims of family crimes. Topicality of the theme is due to the high interest in the culture of the peoples inhabiting the territory of China in the past, since the development of their culture had a lot of influence on the development of China itself, which today is a multinational state.

Abstract:The background of this study is the dilemma faced by women and the development of feminism in China in the early 20th century. This study is mainly based on the playwright Cao Yu's two early 20th century drama works Sunrise and Thunderstorm as research materials, and from the character image, language characteristics, and other aspects of specific analysis. This study uses text analysis to analyze the writer Cao Yu's concept of women, the representative characters of Chen Bailu, Fanyi, and Shiping in the materials, and the characters' dialogue language characteristics. It is concluded that the predicament of Chinese women in the early 20th century is due to the conflict between the backward ideas of male superiority and female inferiority in the feudal patriarchal society and the emerging Western ideas of equality and freedom. During this period, feminism had a budding trend, but it was not systematic and thorough. Under the long-term rule of patriarchy, women's awakening consciousness has just begun, and everything is in a difficult stage of initiation and exploration. From this, it is concluded that Chinese feminism was oppressed by many parties in the early 20th century, but it was difficult to germinate.
