Research on an Accurate Energy Saving Wireless Gas Sensing System

Abstract:For accurately monitoring the gas content at coal mining points in real time, the lithium battery powered gas sensors are adopted for multi-point gas monitoring. Considering the harsh environment of the coal mining points, the detected data may be distorted, the temperature compensation is conducted in hardware;and the gross error is processed through Chauvenet guideline to ensure the measurement accuracy. In addition, in order to extend the effective lifecycle of the gas sensing wireless network, the low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy ( LEACH) protocol is adopted, the cluster head which is far away from the base station may transmit the data via double hop communication in accordance with the variation of gas content and using non-uniform clustering. The tests verify the effective lifecycle of network increases by 33. 3%.
