Abstract:Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM ) technology utilizes multiple mutually orthogonal sub -carriers to transmit information ,which has the advantages of high spectrum efficiency and strong anti - multipath interference capacity .However ,the OFDM system suffers a high peak - average power ratio (PAPR ) problem ,which increases the implementation cost and reduces the operating efficiency .This paper analyzes the principle of OFDM ,compares several methods to reduce the PAPR of an OFDM system .Finally ,the effect of these methods is verified by simulation re-sults ,and furthermore ,the influence of different parameter settings on the simulation results is discussed .
