Abstract:As a representative of clean energy, distributed photovoltaic power generation system has become an ideal alternative to traditional thermal power generation by virtue of its low carbon and sustainable characteristics. However, distributed PV output power is affected by temperature and light intensity, which has the defects of volatility and randomness. In addition, distributed PV needs to be connected to the AC grid through switching devices such as converters, which greatly enhances the harmonic level of the distribution network and breaks the single power supply structure of the traditional distribution network, and it is difficult to determine the direction of the distribution network tide. Conventional distribution network protection extracts fault steady-state quantities through the current and voltage transformers installed on the lines and develops protection algorithms. However, after a large number of distributed power sources are connected, it is difficult to shortcomings in the trend direction, difficult to determine the protection rectification value, and difficult for the conventional protection method to meet the reliability requirements. In response to the above problems, primary and secondary fusion devices have been put into operation in the distribution network, in which electronic voltage and current sensors are integrated to realize the measurement of fault transient quantities, and according to the large amount of information contained in the fault transient quantities, the reliability of protection can be effectively improved. In order to study the applicability of electronic voltage and current sensors under distributed power supply access, the paper establishes a model of Rogowski coil type current sensors and capacitive voltage sensors commonly used in primary and secondary fusion equipment, and based on the above model, the amplitude-frequency characteristic curves of sensors are obtained. A distributed PV grid-connected model and an electronic voltage and current sensor model are established in PSCAD, and the effects of fault transient quantities on the transmission characteristics of the electronic voltage and current sensors are studied in case of faults occurrence. Using a broadband testing platform, voltage transformers and current transformers configured with primary and secondary fusion switches in distribution networks are tested, verifying the correctness of the theoretical analysis in this paper.
