Abstract:This paper proposes an integration of multi-vehicle prediction and planning based on social value orientation (SVO) in mixed traffic. Initially, the training metrics for the prediction model are derived from a fusion of traditional potential fields, SVO, and planning objectives based on Smart “PredictOptimize”. Historical time-series data is leveraged for pretraining the prediction model to forecast future trajectories of Human Driving Vehicles (HDVs). Subsequently, a comprehensive loss function for Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) is formulated. The weighting distribution for the loss function is established employing a combination of SVO and traditional potential fields. Following this, a function that models the prioritization of movement is constructed based on SVO, traditional potential fields, and Kaldor-Hicks improvement, thereby enabling the calculation of the total loss value for all trajectory combinations. The results demonstrate that the Average Displacement Error (ADE) of our model is consistently below 1.5 m, whereas the ADE of the comparative models mostly ranges from 1.5 m to 2.0 m. Furthermore, the Final Displacement Error (FDE) of our model is predominantly below 2.0 m, whereas the FDE of the comparative models generally exceeds 1.5 m, even approaching 3.5 m. Additionally, the standard deviation of speed ranges from 0.1 m/s to 2.6 m/s, whereas for the comparative models, it ranges from 0.4 m/s to 2.9 m/s. Similar performance trends are observed for acceleration and discrete space-time occupancy standard deviation. This suggests that our model adequately allocates traffic resources for different vehicles
