Abstract:Recently, offshore wind power has become a hot topic for wind power development and research. The marine environment is not affected by topography, vegetation, buildings and other landform features, and at the same time, there are unfavorable factors for the operation of the unit such as typhoon, ocean waves, salt-fog and ice floe. Accurate offshore wind power forecasting can provide the necessary basis for offshore wind power scheduling and operation control. The numerical weather forecast data is a major factor affecting the offshore wind power forecasts errors and it has a great uncertainty. Due to these characteristics of offshore power generation, in this paper the deep neural network which can extract the depth characteristics of the data and improve the efficiency of the forecasting model was designed for offshore wind power forecast. Considering the uncertainty of the input data, the clustering analysis algorithm was used to divide the numerical weather forecast data into different classes. To verify the validity of the model, the results of deep neural network forecasting were compared with those of BP neural network and wavelet neural network. The forecasting accuracy of the proposed method outperforms BP neural network and wavelet neural network by more than 40%.
