Abstract:A development module of network-based virtual instrument technology intended to be used for inspecting the performance of vehicle was presented. G web server provided by NI company helped achieve the web issue of vehicle inspection front panel. Meanwhile DataSocket technique helped achieve data transfer through internet. LabVIEW and web technology were combined to realize the remote control of vehicle inspection to meet the needs of clients. The system has been proved to be quite effective in performance examination of vehicle, such as brake horsepower, speed, noise, lamplight, smoke intensity and the weight of every axle.

Abstract:Considering the requirement of the multi-parameter-combined environment testing device, a kind of multi-parameter measure and control system based on wireless communication technology was studied in this paper. First, the overall structure of the multi-parameter measure and control system based on wireless communication in combined environment device was put forward, which was made up of six control subsystems: a host computer, the centrifuge and dynamic balance system, the vibration and rectification system, the temperature system, the air pressure system and the sound pressure system. Then, the communication protocol and hardware structure of the multi-computer communication system based on wireless transmission were mainly studied. And software design technology of multi-parameter measure and control system was studied in succession. Finally, the five-parameter-combined environment testing was carried out. The experimental results show that the measure and control tasks of the combined environment testing can be well finished by the multi-parameter measure and control system.

Abstract:A system combined the function of Industrial Computer, PLC, virtual instruments, sensors and data acquisition was designed and developed for testing and controlling of hydraulic steering control unit, which can achieve automated data acquisition, data processing, test results judgment, false alarms and etc. with the development of computer and science. The software of test system was designed through LabVIEW, and by using module design method, error detection, modify and maintenance of the software turn to be simple and the software become more robust. The system also adopted shielding and filtering with combination of hardware and software to improve test accuracy which reduces test error caused by operators and improve test efficiency.

Abstract:The design and realizing principle,basic framework and characteristic of a new advanced process control software package-APC-iHiecon based on COM and model predictive control algorithm are introduced in this paper.The application result of APC-iHiecon software package on a Petrochemimal Co.alkyl-benzene plant show it's effective and feasibility.Finally the development and application of COM-based APC software are forecasted.

Abstract:The virtual instrument technology and auto test system software architecture for the Signal-Oriented test are first introduced, and then the requirement of virtual instrument driver module is analyzed. Finally, the design scheme of virtual instrument driver module based on Component Object Model component technology is given. Using the scheme, we developed 22 kinds of the test instruments driver. Experiment results show that the scheme improved the driver scalability, maintainability and reusability greatly.

Abstract:Aimed at low thermal economy of 6MW steam turbine in thermal plant, heat state monitoring system is developed which based on serial port communication of virtual instrument. Design process of hardware and software, and key points of developing serial port communication program in Lab Windows/CVI had illustrated. The practical operation showed it was useful to use VI technology to develop thermal parameters monitoring system, which owned reuse, modularization and high reliability features. The system supervises 3 steam turbines (6MW unit), and performs functions, such as data query, data acquisition, tendency chart and monitoring exergy efficiencies. Finally, it gives method of raising efficiency and optimization operation of mini-unit.

Abstract:A static and dynamic performance integrated test system was designed based on virtual instrument technology to meet the needs of performance testing for electro-hydraulic servo valves used in power plant.The control principles and hydraulic circuit of the system were described.The compositions of hardware and software were introduced as well as the performance parameters.Com-paring the result of delivery test with the measured results,it proves that the system is available.The system has been used in practice.

Abstract:In the light of the actual needs of marine remote sensing in China, the Marine Remote Sensing Multidimensional Dynamic Visualization System(MRSMDVS) is designed and developed to provide assistant decision supports for reasonable exploitation of marine resource. This paper starts with the introduction to the COM basic principle, presents characteristics of marine remote sensing data, then brings out system design framework, and later develops Image Access Component and Information Retrieval Component based on COM. By now the prototype system has already been accomplished. Based on the results, it is pointed out that COM technique can expand new satellite data formats and custom remote sensing information retrieval algorithms in MRSMDVS conveniently, and also its application has good future in other fields such as module management.

Abstract:Virtual reality is now becoming matured for serious engineering applications. This paper describes an integrated multi-modal virtual design and virtual assembly environment within which the designers are enabled to create both the exact solid model of a part and the assembly model of a product in 3D space by direct 3D manipulations and voice commands intuitively and easily. Assembly planning can also be performed by users interactively in the environment. By integrating virtual assembly with virtual design, designers are allowed to modify components of an assembly in the same virtual environment without the need of time-consuming data exchange between virtual environment and CAD tools.

Abstract:Virtual Instrumentation (VI) is becoming a popular tool in measurement, test and automation as a result of rapid development of computer technology. In this paper, a engine test experimental system comprised of computer, DAQ Card PCI-6024E board, and other components, is presented. The signal output from sensors are transmitted to PCI-6024E board by conditioning circuits, and two-circuit control mode of throttle and hydrovalve with closed loop drive by direct digital control has been proposed. The control signals based on the incremental PID control algorithm are sent out from PCI-6024E board, and they control the throttle and hydrovalve by pulse width modulation drove circuits. The accuracy and stability of the whole control system has been proved satifactory. The system software has been developed by LabVIEW, which offers the system a lot of merits, such as friendly user interface, cost of development, short development period, and flexible functional-extension,etc.

Abstract:With the development of the computer technology and digital signal processing technology, virtual technology has become popular. Application of virtual technology in control domain is called virtual device. To verify the effect of the controller, on the basis of system model, the virtual device with approximate input-output characteristics is employed for the system's real-time simulation, achieving the aim of reducing on-spot debugging, enhancing controller's security and improving effect. This paper presents hardware and software designs of a virtual device using DSP chip-TMS320F240, TI Com. and verifies the simulation effect of virtual device through application example.

Abstract:COM is the one of the most important peripheral interfaces in computer; therefore it is significant to do the study of programming design methods in serial communication. In this paper we discuss the four programming design methods of serial communication on C~(++) Builder 6 platform: direct embedded assembler, Windows API functions, MSComm component based on the technique of ActiveX and Third-Party component SPComm. We also give the compared results of the four programming design methods in serial communication, and provide programming examples.

Abstract:This article introduces a kind of ultrasonic testing system based on virtual instrument technical. It is constituted of hardware and a control and analysis software. The article mainly introduces each module of the control and analysis software,and these modules are independence. This system is a set of integrated ultrasonic testing system,which can create a number of stimulation pulses,collect echo signal,realize signal de-noising,locate the defect,and extract the feature of the defect. By calling of the dll database function of the data card base on the LabVIEW software,it realizes the echo signal collecting. In this paper,a method that combines the signal wave with array extraction is presented to locate the defect,it also proposes a method that according to the ascend velocity of the wave and the descend velocity of the wave to judge the type of the defect. The results of experiment indicated that the defect could be located precisely and identified correctly.

Abstract:Virtual instrument system has received amounts of attention and become a common practice in many fields. Virtual instrument is a program that implements functions of an instrument by software which could replace the work of real instrument to save resources. The functions of these systems are limited and they commonly have little related information about sensors, navigation, monitoring objects due to special requirements. The procedure of development and integration often suffers from low efficiency because of non-standard development technologies. In this paper, we propose a complex virtual instruments system architecture which could not only extend the function of virtual instrument but also ease the development process of the system. Our architecture is validated by multiple developed systems. The result shows that the proposed architecture is effective and feasible.
