Abstract:•A meta-analytic approach to identify loci involved in G × E interaction was adopted.•Systematic factors such as years were treated as multiple environments in this genome-wide association study.•Six novel candidate genes related to carcass traits in Chinese Simmental beef cattle were revealed, namely RIMS2, PRKAR2B, GPR133, AKAP1, PCDH10, and AADAT.
