Abstract:The starch grafted acrylic acid was used to synthesize water-swelling hydrogels by 60Co ?radiation grafting technique. With radiation dose of about 7 kGy, the crosslinking reagent amount of 0.01?? the pH value 58 and the starch amount of 10%20%, we can produce 600 times water-swelling hydrogels which are of high performance, low cost and suitable for agriculture.
