The influences of Xinmaitong capsule(心脉通胶囊) on cNOS mRNA expression of ventricular wall in experimental myocardial ischemia rats

Abstract:Objective:To study the prevent effects of Xinmaitong capsule(心脉通胶囊) against experimental myocardial ischemia of rats and mechanism associated with the production of nitric oxide(NO).Methods:Rat model of acute myocardial ischemia induced by pituitrin was used in this study,and the lift of ST segment in ECG was used as the index of myocardial ischemia.Constitutive nitric oxide synthase (cNOS)mRNA of ventricular wall in myocardial ischemia of rats were determined.Results:cNOS mRNA in ventricular wall of acute myocardial ischemia were 20.8±4.1,and markedly lower than control 56.5±12.0(P0.01).After administration of Xinmaitong capsule,cNOS mRNA in ventricular wall of myocardial ischemia were elevated to 38.2±8.0(P0.05).Conclusions:Xinmaitong capsule can elevate the expression of cNOS mRNA and content of NO,and exert the effect of improving myocardial ischemia in rats.
