The Historical Development of the Environmental Problem

Abstract:There arose the environmental problem ever since mankind came into being. The Agricultural Revolution resulted in a rapid increasing in population, which survived by exhausting natural resources, thus worsening the ecological environment in parts of the world and leading to the decline of the ancient civilization. Moreover, the Industrial Revolution, which was responsible for increasingly serious pollution of environment, simply endangered the life of man himself. Fortunately,man came to realize the coming consequence in the mid and late 1980s and saved the earth and human beings by adopting a series of effective steps.
