Abstract:The last two decades has shown remarkable progress in the implementation of cleaner production all over the world. In order to give new impetus to and focus on the implementation and development of cleaner production in the future, the status is reviewed and the trends are identified in this series. Two papers are included: the first one explores how cleaner production developed in the world and in China; the second summarizes some successful experience and trends in the promotion and uptake of cleaner production around the globe.
