Investigation and Analysis on the Attitudes of 51 Parents to the Children's Play

Abstract:Objective To study the attitudes of parents on the children′s play and explore the rules and problems.Methods Questionnaire was used to investigate 51 parents about knowledge of children′s play.Results 92.2% and 70.5% parents could list the names of the toys and plays which their child preferred,but about 29.4% parents could not list the types of the play their child preferred;88.2% parents could understand the importance of the toys and plays to the children but they needed to learn more skills,7.9% parents did well in playing with their children;Compared with higher educated parents,more parents with lower education felt children would not obey them when they played with the children longer,male parents would feel more whiny than female when they played with children.Conclusion Parents had noticed the importance of the play to children′s development,but also there were some mistakes in play with children.Community nurses should give them more education and instruction.
