Inhibition Effect of NF-κB Inhibitor on Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms of Rabbit

Abstract:The abdominal aortic aneurysms models of 15 New Zealand white rabbits infiltrated with 0.75 mol/L CaCl2 were successfully built,then 15 AAA models were divided into three groups (CK, PDTC and normal saline groups)randomly and finally the MMP-9,IL-6 and TNF-αcontent and AAA diameter of CK,PDTC and normal saline groups were determined by ELISA to study the inhibition effect of PDTC on rabbit's abdominal aortic aneurysms and to provide the theoretical basis for clinic development and application of relative drugs to cure AAA.The results showed that the AAA diameter of PDTC group fed with 20mg PDTC per kg of body weight for each day after 4 weeks is smaller than CK and NS groups very significantly and there is no obvious difference in AAA diameter before and after PDTC use in PDTC group.The IL-6 and TNF-α content and MMP-9 content of PDTC group after 4 weeks decrease very significantly and significantly compared with IL-6 and TNF-αcontent and MMP-9 content before PDTC use respectively.PDTC can inhibit inflammatory reaction significantly,which inhibits AAA formation.
