Abstract:We firstly construct generalized Baskakov operators Vn,α,q(f;x) and their truncated sum Bn,α,q(f;γn,x). Secondly, we study the pointwise convergence and the uniform convergence of the operators Vn,α,q(f;x), respectively, and estimate that the rate of convergence by the operators Vn,α,q(f;x) is 1/nq/2. Finally, we study the convergence by the truncated operators Bn,α,q(f;γn,x) and state that the finite truncated sum Bn,α,q(f;γn,x) can replace the operators Vn,α,q(f;x) in the computational point of view provided that limn→∞nγn=∞.

Abstract:In this article, we study the convolution operators $M_k$ with oscillatory kernel, which are related to solutions to the Cauchy problem for the strictly hyperbolic equations. The operator $M_k$ is associated to the characteristic hypersurfaces $\Sigma\subset \mathbb{R}^3$ of a hyperbolic equation and smooth amplitude function, which is homogeneous of order $-k$ for large values of the argument. We study the convolution operators assuming that the corresponding amplitude function is contained in a sufficiently small conic neighborhood of a given point $v\in \Sigma$ at which exactly one of the principal curvatures of the surface $\Sigma$ does not vanish. Such surfaces exhibit singularities of type $A$ in the sense of Arnol'd's classification. Denoting by $k_p$ the minimal number such that $M_k$ is $L^p\mapsto L^{p'}$-bounded for $k>k_p,$ we show that the number $k_p$ depends on some discrete characteristics of the surface $\Sigma$.

Abstract:Let k be a local field. Let I v and I_v^' be smooth principal series representations of GL n (k) and GL n -−1 (k), respectively. The Rankin-Selberg integrals yield a continuous bilinear map I_v× I_v^'→ℂ with a certain invariance property. We study integrals over a certain open orbit that also yield a continuous bilinear map I_v× I_v^'→ℂ with the same invariance property, and show that these integrals equal the Rankin-Selberg integrals up to an explicit constant. Similar results are also obtained for Rankin-Selberg integrals for GL n (k) × GL n (k).

Denoting by $k_p$ the minimal exponent such that $M_k$ is $L^p\mapsto L^{p'}$-bounded for $k>k_p,$ we show that the number $k_p$ depends on some discrete characteristics of the Newton polygon of a smooth function constructed in an appropriate coordinate system.

Abstract:Let $\mathbb{H}^{n}$ be the Heisenberg group. For $0 \leq \alpha < Q=2n+2$ and $N \in \mathbb{N}$ we consider exponent functions $p(\cdot) : \mathbb{H}^{n} \to (0, +\infty)$, which satisfies Hölder conditions, such that $\frac{Q}{Q+N} < p_{-} \leq p(\cdot) \leq p_{+} < \frac{Q}{\alpha}$. In this article we prove the $H^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{H}^{n}) \to L^{q(\cdot)}(\mathbb{H}^{n})$ and $H^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{H}^{n}) \to H^{q(\cdot)}(\mathbb{H}^{n})$ boundedness of convolution operators with kernels of type $(\alpha, N)$ on $\mathbb{H}^{n}$, where $\frac{1}{q(\cdot)} = \frac{1}{p(\cdot)} - \frac{\alpha}{Q}$. In particular, the Riesz potential on $\mathbb{H}^{n}$ satisfies such estimates.

Abstract:Let T be a multilinear Calderón–Zygmund operator of type . is the generalized commutator of T , which generalizes several commutators that already existed. It is shown in this paper that the weak and strong type quantitative weighted estimates for when belongs to exponential oscillation spaces and Lipschitz spaces, respectively. As applications, we obtain the multiple weighted norm inequalities for the generalized commutators of bilinear pseudo-differential operators and paraproducts with mild regularity.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of a family of convolution operators associated with a given elliptic partial differential operator. Such a convolution structure is shown to exist for a general class of Laplace-Beltrami operators on two-dimensional manifolds endowed with cone-like metrics. This structure gives rise to a convolution semigroup representation for the Markovian semigroup generated by the Laplace-Beltrami operator. In the particular case of the operator $\mathcal{L} = \partial_x^2 + {1 \over 2x} \partial_x + {1 \over x} \partial_\theta^2$ on $\mathbb{R}^+ \times \mathbb{T}$, we deduce the existence of a convolution structure for a two-dimensional integral transform whose kernel and inversion formula can be written in closed form in terms of confluent hypergeometric functions. The results of this paper can be interpreted as a natural extension of the theory of one-dimensional generalized convolutions to the framework of multiparameter eigenvalue problems.

Abstract:The L p L^p boundedness theory of convolution operators is based on an initial L 2 → L 2 L^2\to L^2 estimate derived from the Fourier transform. The corresponding theory of multilinear operators lacks such a simple initial estimate in view of the unavailability of Plancherel’s identity in this setting, and up to now it has not been clear what a natural initial estimate might be. In this work we obtain initial L 2 × ⋯ × L 2 → L 2 / m L^2\times \cdots \times L^2\to L^{2/m} estimates for three types of important multilinear operators: rough singular integrals, multipliers of Hörmander type, and multipliers whose derivatives satisfy qualitative estimates. These estimates lay the foundation for the derivation of other L p L^p estimates for such operators.

Abstract:Analysis and Applications, Ahead of Print. We extend the theory of matrix weights to the variable Lebesgue spaces. The theory of matrix [math] weights has attracted considerable attention beginning with the work of Nazarov, Treil, and Volberg in the 1990s. We extend this theory by generalizing the matrix [math] condition to the variable exponent setting. We prove boundedness of the convolution operator [math] for [math], and show that the approximate identity defined using [math] converges in matrix weighted, variable Lebesgue spaces [math] for [math] in matrix [math]. Our approach to this problem is through averaging operators; these results are of interest in their own right. As an application of our work, we prove a version of the classical [math] theorem for matrix weighted, variable exponent Sobolev spaces.

Abstract:This article investigates the convergence properties of Grunwald-type operators defined using the Lagrange interpolation operator. In $C[0, \pi]$, we establish sufficient conditions under which alternate grid point selection yields a convergence result. Employing a quantitative approach grounded in the modulus of continuity, we derive a theorem that provides insightful estimates for the convergence of Grunwald operator, accompanied by illustrative numerical examples. Addressing challenges related to continuity, we extend the operator to $L^1(\mathbb{R})$ and prove similar convergence results. Notably, the new operator demonstrates a uniform order of convergence on a dense subspace of $L^1(\mathbb{R})$. Moreover, it has a better convergence rate than Grunwald operator. We establish the non positivity of the Lagrange interpolation operator and, consequently, the constructed operators. Significant emphasis is placed on D.E. Wulbert theorem ($1968$), which is a Korovkin-type theorem that can be applied to non-positive operators. We extend this theorem to a broader class of operators, enabling its effective application to the constructed operators. This article, overall, highlights the broad applicability of Lagrange interpolation across diverse disciplines.

Abstract:Let $\mu$ be a $K$-invariant compactly supported distribution on a noncompact Riemannian symmetric space $X=G/K$. If the spherical Fourier transform $\widetilde\mu(\lambda)$ is slowly decreasing, it is known that the right convolution operator $c_\mu\colon f\mapsto f*\mu$ maps $\mathcal E(X)$ onto $\mathcal E(X)$. In this paper, we prove the converse of this result. We also prove that $c_\mu$ has a fundamental solution if and only if $\widetilde\mu(\lambda)$ is slowly decreasing.

We describe this class of ‐homogeneous operators, equivalently, nonnegative kernels quasi‐invariant under the action of . We classify quasi‐invariant kernels transforming under with two specific choice of multipliers. A crucial ingredient of the proof is that the group has exactly two inequivalent irreducible unitary representations of dimension and none in dimensions , . We obtain explicit criterion for boundedness, reducibility, and mutual unitary equivalence among these operators.
