ObserVation of warm acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment for actiVity mandatory spondylitis

Abstract:ObjectiVe It is to observe the clinical curative effect of warm acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine fu-migation treatment in patients with activity mandatory spondylitis. Methods 114 cases of active period of ankylosing spondylitis patients were randomly divided into observation group(57 cases)and control group(57 cases)and both were given conven-tional western medicine treatment,additionally the control group was given clip ridge warm acupuncture point while the obser-vation group were given traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment on the treatment in control group. Both treatment courses were 3 months. The changes of clinical symptoms integral,joint swelling,laboratory examination indexes,bone and muscle activity and pain,quality of life before and after treatment were observed in both group,and the statistics of two groups of clinical curative effect were compared. Results After treatment pap ankylosing spondylitis functional index( BASFI),pap ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index(BASDAI),joint swelling number,C - reactive protein(CRP),erythrocyte sed-imentation rate(ESR)and alkaline phosphatase levels were significantly reduced(P < 0. 05),and the index set of improve-ment was better than that of control group( P < 0. 05);thoracic mobility,Schober’s test,pillow wall distance,refers to ground test,lumbar lateral flexion,lumbar back pain and joint pain,lumbosacral spine and were improved significantly(P <0. 05),and the index set of improvement was better than that of control group( P < 0. 05);The quality of life of SF - 36 questionnaire scores all items were significantly increased(P < 0. 05),in the observation group the score was higher than that in the control group(P < 0. 05);during treatment no serious adverse drug events were found. Conclusion Warm acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine fumigation treatment can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms and signs of activity an-kylosing spondylitis patients,improve the function of patients with bone and muscle activity,relieve pain,and significantly im-prove patients’quality of life.
