Abstract:The characteristics of the maize head smut fungi(Sporisorium reiliana) change in different cultures,whether on the PDA or in the PD.Based on the PDA culture differentiation,23 strains could be divided into 6 groups.Based on the color difference of PD colony,23 strains could be divided into 4 groups.And based on the pathogenesis strength,23 strains could be divided into 7 groups.It showed the germ pathogenesis strength has a positive relationship to the depth of pigment.
