Abstract:Objective To explore the distribution characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes in unidentified infertility,in an attempt to provide a basis for its syndrome differentiation. Methods According to diagnostic criteria of infertility,a total of 219 infertility women were assigned into study group, including 108 cases of unidentified infertility, and control group, including 111 cases of infertility caused by their husbands' infertility. The distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes were compared between the two groups. The risk TCM syndromes of unidentified infertility were analyzed using binomial Logistic Regression Analysis. The relation of TCM syndromes with ages was analyzed using Pearson Correlation Analysis. Results The scores of liver depression syndrome, blood stasis syndrome, and kidney deficiency syndrome,as well as their proportions in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).The liver depression syndrome, especially complicated syndrome, was the most common in the study group.Complicated syndromes were often characterized by kidney deficiency complicated with liver depression, kidney deficiency complicated with blood stasis, and liver depression complicated with blood stasis. The Logistic Regression Analysis showed that liver depression syndrome, kidney deficiency syndrome, and blood stasis syndrome were three risk factors for unidentified infertility. The scores of kidney deficiency syndrome were positively correlated with ages in the study group. Conclusion Liver depression, kidney deficiency, and blood stasis are the common syndromes, and all of them serve as independent risk factors for unidentified infertility. The liver depression syndrome is the most widespread. The kidney deficiency syndrome is closely related with the ages.
