Building Integrated Regional Coordination Mechanism from the Perspective of Compound Governance Theory: A Case about Jiuquan and Jiayuguan Regional Integration

Abstract:Coordination mechanism is an important measure to overcome the economy restrain in administrative area and to promote the regional integration and development.In this paper,we first do a brief comparative study of 3 typical coordination mechanisms in China,i.e.the coordinating meeting of local government leader,the coordination agency dispatched by the government at a higher level and the coalition Party committee of the integrating region,to find out their challenges and the reasons behind.Then,from the point of view of compound governance theory,we present a framework and key factor of a new integrated regional coordination mechanism,taking Jiuquan and Jiayuguan regional integration as a case.
