Abstract:The characteristics of ground clutter have some important effects on ground moving target indication(GMTI) of space-based radar(SBR). This paper studies coherent!ground clutter model for SBR in depth,and presents a clutter model of calculating ground clutter of given range-gate based on classical SBR geometrical model.Based on this clutter model,a method of simulating coherent ground clutter is provided,and the Doppler frequency characteristics for SBR are discussed.This model can improve the performance of coherent ground clutter calculation.The validity of the method has been proved by the simulation results.
