The Measurements of Atomizing Properties of Ultrasonic Atomizing System

Abstract:Ultrasonic atomizing system was set up in this work, and the atomizing properties were studied. The influences of the atomizing sample volume, the atomizing power and the flow rate of carrier gas on the atomizing rate and transporting loss were studied. The size of the droplets measured by laser particle sizer was about 2.6 μm. The atomizing rate changed slightly with the sample volume decreasing, and increased with atomizing power and the flow rate of carrier gas. With the flow rate of carrier gas increased, transporting loss decreased with the flow rate less than 800 cm~3/min, and then increased with the flow rate higher than 800 cm~3/min.
