Abstract:Reflection on and criticism of enlightenment reason is an indispensable part of the Enlightenment itself. It is an important counterbalance to the Enlightenment myth and the crisis of modernity, as well as being a major theoretical subject for political philosophy in the age of globalization. This reflection and criticism must be grasped and examined from both the external perspective of socio-historical requirements and the internal perspective of intellectual history. While giving full credit to the achievements of Enlightenment reason and modernity, we need to review their inherent conflicts, reveal the resultant social crisis, and sort out, reflect on and reference postmodernism's denunciation of Enlightenment reason and the crisis of modernity in order to provide a more far-reaching solution to these issues. Marx turned the critique of Enlightenment reason and modernity into a critical reconstruction of the logic of capital and the capitalist mode of production, seeing the resolution of these evils as lying in transcendence of capitalist private ownership. In this way, he brought the critique of Enlightenment reason to a climax and showed modern society a way to more advanced development.

Abstract:The greatest political wisdom of Marx was most profoundly reflected in his grasp of the joint between political emancipation and human liberation.By analyzing burgher society from the view of the law philosophy,Marx objectively and rationally discussed the historical merits and significance of political emancipation,expounded how to clear up the religion alienation,political alienation and their entanglement by political emancipation.He realized that political emancipation was not free of contradictions at all,which relentlessly exposed and criticized the historical limit and limitations of political emancipation.Based on profound understanding of the limit and limitations of political emancipation as well as the analysis of burgher society from a perspective of political economics,Marx put forward to transcend the political emancipation,to confront the political force with social force for mankind liberation.Besides,the necessity and the possibility were demonstrated and rigorously analyzed.It is of profound enlightening significance to compare Marx's idea of political emancipation with the practices of Chiness political reform and development.

Abstract:Under the influence of traditional Western philosophy,orthodox interpreters distort Marx's philosophy as the ontology of substance for a long time,in order to cover the essence of Marx's philosophy,and to cancel the fundamental difference between Marx's philosophy and the traditional philosophy.This paper points out that Marx's philosophy isn't the ontology of substance;On the contrary,through the sublimation of the ontology of substance,Marx puts forward his own ontology,i.e.,the ontology of praxis-relations of social production by which Marx combines the field of phenomenon with of essence to express the whole content and essence of his philosophy.

Abstract:Generally speaking,Marx's philosophy=Hegel's rational core(dialectic) + Feuerbach's basic core(materialism).This paper holds that Marx's methodology mainly comes from Hegel's dialectic.However,dialectical carrier comes from Kant instead of Feuerbach.Marx grasps the concept of "praxis" from Kant's "practical reason" and endows it with new contents in order to set up the practical materialism based on it.The goal of practical materialism is to realize everyone's freedom,but freedom is constrained by the material relationship of production which can only be changed by revolution.In fact,Marx's concepts of "freedom" and "material relationship of production" also come from Kant,and the latter is just a reveal of Kant's thing in itself.

Abstract:This paper mainly responds to the three theoretical problems put forward by Prof.Wang Feng-cai,Prof.Xu Chang-fu and Prof.Han Shui-fa in the conference on my academic thoughts.First of all,I shall argue that my comments on Marx in published writings are theoretically consistent.Secondly,I shall emphasise the fact that in the context of Kant's practical reason,although ideas play a constructive role when they concern such object as "highest goodness",they generally play a regulative role.Finally,I shall argue that there is the complex relationship between critique and constitution.Obviously,without profound critical opinions,the rational points of view are impossible.On the contrary,it is difficult for critique to grasp the essence of actual life without rational constituent points of view.According to my opinion,those constituent points of view formed in a definite historical context cannot be used dogmatically,but need to be revised in terms of various concrete situations.

Abstract:How do we re-understand Marx's philosophy in a new perspective? This is a very important issue in the contemporary study of Marx's philosophy.Over the past ten years,Prof.Yu Wu-jin has developed various interpretations of Marx's philosophy from different perspectives under the name of "reunderstanding Marx".In short,he attempts to transcend the traditional interpretative approach to Marx's philosophy,to reinterpretate Marx's philosophy and to provide a new conception of its system in terms of philosophy of economics,such as "object,value,time and freedom".Then,what does "re-understanding Marx" mean? What is the purpose of this slogan? What are the key issues of "re-understanding Marx"? What kind of image does "the re-understood Marx" have? Does it meet what Marx meant indeed? Does it represent a "real Marx"? This paper attempts to make a critical reflection on Prof.Yu's re-understanding Marx in terms of the above issues.

Abstract:The paper focuses on the contemporary significance and nature of Marxist philosophy.Because the theorists of the Second International(1889～1914) and the early leaders of Western Marxism had sharply different disputes over Marxist philosophy,the author of this paper tried to interpret it from the ontological perspective.The focus is on Marx's ontological revolution and its transcendence of modern metaphysics.With this as the real foundation of historical materialism,Marxist philosophy ushered in a brand-new approach to social reality.Rejecting subjective ideas and external reflections,this approach offers the theoretical foundation for a correct understanding of China's reality,problems as well as its experience.

Abstract:After Ludwig Feuerbach had inveighed against the whole philosophy-metaphysics, Max Stirner again declared a war against philosophy-metaphysics, particularly aiming at Ludwig Feuerbach. Unfortunate enough, their campaigns against general metaphysics ultimately fall into the essence of metaphysics. The difference beuween them is that Ludwig Feuerbach's misfortune is tragic while Max Stirner's is comic. This paper tries to make clear Marx's criticism of Max Stirner from the fundamentals of ontology, and demonstrate this criticism is a key factor in the disintegration of the entire modern metaphysics. In this sense, Marx's criticism of Max Stirner is also a subtle criticism of Ludwig Feuerbach, especially a criticism of general metaphysics whose essential constitution is the innateness of consciousness. It is at this point that the total meaning of Marx's philosophical revolution reveals itself.

Abstract:The essence of Marx's revolution of philosophy is related to fundamental meaning of Marx's theory. The summit achievement of Marx's thinking is opening of contemporary philosophical perspective based on historical materialism. In this perspective, we must enter thinking of knowledge's ontological properties. Through this thinking we can find which has been covered by objective world. Because of recovery of Marx's revolution of philosophy can be understood in its real meaning, and furthermore, a road to a new kind of can manifest itself. The new kind of is called genuine knowledge by Marx, who thought it should be acquired through establishment of the sciences of Lebenswelt, i.e. the historical sciences.

Abstract:For a long time in the 20th century,the relation of Marx's new materialism and philosophical materialism remained a controversial issue.Traditional Russian textbooks had over emphasized the sameness and relevance of the two,claiming that new materialism was the highly developed basic principle of traditional materialism.Thus,new materialism was being over simplified while the essential difference between the two was neglected.Contrary to the ideas expressed in the Russian textbooks,Marxists in the west merely elaborated on the heterogeneous character of new materialism and philosophical materialism,claiming that new materialism was a direct negation of philosophical materialism.Thus,the internal link of the two was denied.The authors hold that understanding the relation of new materialism and philosophical materialism correctly is not only necessary for us to understand the historic significance of Marx's new materialism,but it may also contribute to our understanding of the true revolutionary nature of new materialism.While new materialism and philosophical materialism are related,they differ in some aspects.Philosophical materialism is the point of departure of new materialism,but new materialism has surpassed it at a higher level,leading to realization of the first theoretical revolution in the history of philosophy.This transcendence has also predicted a great revolution of new materialism against reality.

Abstract:The relationship between Marx and Hegel is an important theoretical problem.According to this paper,Hegel's Philosophy of Law and Phenome- nology of Spirit which regard the social history as their objects have the most important influence on Marx in all Hegel's writings.In this sense,Marx's historical materialism reverses Hegel's Historical idealism,so the essence of Marx's philosophy is historical materialism.

Abstract:It is generally believed that Marx transcended Hegel's theory of civil society in his work Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Law.However,this is not true.In fact,Marx had experienced a long exploration process before he achieved this transcendence.This process has been much more complicated than we have imagined.The Hegelian civil society theory was developed against a rich background of classical economic theories.To transcend this theory requires not only a breakthrough of the Hegelian idealistic philosophy,but also clarification of the foundation of his civil society theory by dwelling on the field of economics.Marx finally completed this transcendence in his work Das Kapital and its manuscripts.Two other works of his,Paris and Economic Manuscripts of 1857—1858,marked out the two turning points in this three-stage exploration.

Abstract:Since Karl Korsch's "Marxism and philosophy" came out,the question of relationship between Marxism and philosophy has been a hot issue.There are two representative views for this issue.One thinks that Marxism is mainly an experiential theory of history,a neutral,objective and functional explication to human history and modern social structure.Another insists that Marxism is a philosophy essentially,and a cultural and political criticism of social alienation and the reification in social life and culture.Both of the directions are reasonable to some extent,otherwise are one-sided.As McClellan noted,by effectively integrating history,philosophy,sociology and economics,Marx's social theory has made greatest achievement in the history of human thoughts in 19th century.If we view in terms of this position,Marx's contribution to our age is not that he set up a new philosophy in ordinary sense or he put forward a special doctrine in any social science,but that he was the first man who consciously succeeded in overcoming antagonism between philosophy and science,opened up a new practice of philosophy,namely integrating all scientific knowledge to form a unified social critical theory from normative perspective of human self-creation and liberation.As a critical social theorist,Marx has made most influential criticism and diagnosis of modern society and capitalism based on the norms of modernity and ideal of human emancipation.The new way of which takes Marxism as the critical theory of modern society has its own merits,by the way we not only can go beyond the so-called dualistic constellation between 'scientific Marxism' and 'Critique of Marxism',but also would be beneficial to well grasp the intrinsic unity and its contemporary significance of Marx's thought.

Abstract:The fundamental valuation of Marxist philosophy revolution is basically linked with the comprehension of the contemporary significance of Marxist philosophy, which, however, is lost in most situations. It has been either confined in the framework of modern metaphysics or comprehended as the Nietzschean subversion. Abstract:There is distinct difference between Proudhon and Marx in the understanding of social process and the fulfillment of human ideality.Proudhon underrated the thought of understanding the social process in actual development from the bottom of heart.Marx's critique of Proudhon had a two-side meaning:on one hand,Marx made a good employment of the historical materialism which was founded in German Ideology and brought his critique a clear objective;on the other,for short of the economical studies,Marx still used the narrative manner formed in his critique of Feuerbach,which in some sense blocked his further perception on capitalist relations of production.

Abstract:In Marx’s philosophy, the question of subjectivity is unfolded not only on the premise of the “reversal” of Hegel’s idealism, but also on the premise of the disintegration of the basic frame of modern metaphysics; the core of the basic frame is the immanence of consciousness, in which the ontological character of consciousness is determined by subjectivity. Only disintegrated the immanence of consciousness by the gegenstndliche activity, Marx’s philosophy would open a new horizon for the question of subjectivity —in this horizon, we could talk about the non-subjectivity, i.e. the subjectivity that isn’t entirely subordinate to the immanence of consciousness.

Abstract:The concept of “inter-subjectivity” put forward by late Husserl has become a basic concept in the contemporary philosophy which offered a key to re-considering Marx's theory of relationship. Although Marx never used these concepts, such as“inter-subjectivity”、“inter-objectivity”“inter-subjectivity-objectivity”, his theory of relationship in the historical materialism has investigated, in fact, their contents the above concepts indicate. According to my opinion, on one side, there are fundamental differences between theories of relationship between Marx and modern philosophers. The former explains all issues of relationship from praxis, however, the latter from quiet observation. On the other side, There are also basic differences between theories of relationship of Marx and contemporary philosophers. The latter only talks about“inter-subjectivity”, refusing to“inter-objectivity”and“inter-subjectivity-objectivity”, hence makes“inter-subjectivity”abstraction, however, the former always synthesizes“inter-subjectivity”and“inter-objectivity”and“inter-subjectivity-objectivity”,and discover the quality of alienation of these relationships in the modern society.
