Abstract:The article has developed the 2D CAD system for casting process design of the gray iron and spheroidal graphite iron castings using VisualC＋＋6.0 and ObjectARX. This system can realize computer aided design and computer aided drawing. The authors especially design the riser and gating system of the cast iron according to its features.This system consists of the common casting process parameter design module,the practical riser design module,the gating system design module,and soon.The authors have designed the casting process of the housing part from a factory.
