Abstract:Objective To explore treatment of tibial fracture w ith unreamed intramedullary interlocking nail. Methods 102 tibial fractures were treated with unreamed intramedullary interlocking nail. To discuss the indications, operating time, reamed and unreamed, anterior pain of knee and the management of fibula. Results 98 patients of 102 tibial fractures were followed-up for an average time of 7.5 months (ranged from 3 to 18 months) and evaluated according to the criteria of Johner and Wruh.87 cases were assessed as excellent, 11 cases as good and 0 cases as fair. No postoperation compartment syndroms, anterior kneeache, infect, broken nails and screws and nonunion were found in this series. Conclusion It is cosidered that unreamed intramedullary interlocking nail is suitable to tibial fracture.
