Abstract:Compared with ceramic dispersants such as calcium lignosulfonate, napthalenesulfonic acid-formaldehyde condensate (FDN) and sulfonated acetone-formaldehyde condensate (SAF), aminosulfonic acid-based dispersant (ASP) shows better dispersion and viscosity reducing performance. By determining the adsorption isotherms of these four dispersants on black mud particles and studying their influence on particle zeta potential, it is found that the excellent dispersible performance of ASP is due to its large saturated amount of adsorption and the increase of absolute zeta potential of the particles, which results in strong electrostatic repulsive force and steric hindrance among particles. Urea, sodium chloride and sodium citrate were added to study the adsorption force between ASP and black mud particle, and the results indicate that complexation is the main force of the adsorption process, and the hydrogen bonds are also important.
