Abstract:Feminist philosophy has grown as part of the mainstream philosophical world in the last decade. Along with the development of "naturalized epistemology" in mainstream philosophy, feminist epistemology has also started a new tendency- 'Feminist epistemology naturalized'. This new tendency attempts to break away from the theoretical assumptions, including "objectivity", "universality", "regularity" and "neutrality" in traditional epistemology, go beyond the dichotomy between description and normativity, fact and value,experience and reason, experience and a priori, and to place the cognition, knowledge and beliefs, as well as truth and value in a concrete,cultural and historical context. Such attempt has made a great contribution to both naturalized epistemology and feminist epistemology.

Abstract:The particularities of Kristeva's thought consist in its smartly differentiation from traditional feminism with its recourse to the interdisciplinary broad horizon,by Duns Scottist principle of individuation and by Kristeva's two creative key concepts,'maternal function' and 'female effect' in particular,so as to investigate the multiple distinctive roles of individual heroines in the whole history of human culture,as well as to give a new humanist foundation for the reconstruction of human culture in the 21st century.

Abstract:Existentialist feminism stresses that females should go beyond their own intrinsic nature and establish their consciousness of subjectivity while eco-feminism advocates reestablishing women's unique quality and objects to men's savage conquest over women.These two seemingly opposite and contradictory theories share the common ideals and expectations,namely to examine and overturn patriarchal rule,change women's passive status and search for and realize women's values.The differences lie in the different approaches to realize them.As they have the common ideals,it is necessary to seek for dialogue among the differences.

Abstract:Feminist empiricism,feminist standpoint theory and feminist postmodernism are three major schools of feminist epistemologies.They respectively criticize value prejudices in science from three dimensions as well as put forward three strategies of knowledge reconstruction.Probing into historic issues in science development,it can be found that the criticized subjects of these feminist epistemologies are classical science paradigm.However,there are two knowledge revolutions in science afterwards,and complex science comes into occurrence.Complex science is inner value conversion of science in order to form a brand new science paradigm.It can proves rationality of feminist epistemology.It should be concerned in the development of feminist epistemology.

Chinese women's studies must make innovations in the 21st century; adhere to dialectics and the materialist conception of history and explore, on the theoretical plane, the new problems confronting presentday Chinese women's existence and development; and absorb and draw on the academic achievements of foreign women' s studies, especially the Marxist feminist theories of the West.

Abstract:Feminist literary criticism is a method of criticism full of deconstructive spirit in contemporary western literary theory and practice.It is a critical theory about reading and writing.Under the influence of this theory there occurred in China in 1980s a large number of female writers who consciously or unconsciously borrowed and absorbed female consciousness and created a lot of works against the traditional phallocentrist.Wang Anyi is one of the most representative writers in this respect.Her works such as I Love Bill A Century on the Hillock and Brothers are very excellent texts of feminist criticism.The writer of this paper attempts to make a deconstructive analysis of I Love Bill and The Love of the Small Town to disclose female consciousness implied in Wang An-yi's feminist writing.

Abstract:The Painted Veil, serving as one of the most famous classics of the well-known English writer, Willian Somerset Mangham, mainly aims to talk about the heroine’s awakening of self-consciousness under the society at that age. Using his own special writing style, the writer portrayed a vivid and realistic heroine---Kitty, who finally became world famous and made a significant growth in a spiritual level. In this novel, Kitty’s social and family conditions were influenced by her birthplace, marriage and specular experience. After a broken marriage and miserable love affair relationship with John, Kitty grew a lot and saw the value of life profoundly, and she longed for a freedom away from the constraint of women physically and spiritually. Under the respective of feminism, this thesis is designed to take an analysis of Kitty, the root cause of Kitty’s former position as a female, and Kitty’s hard work in the process of breaking away from the status of traditional female. This thesis includes five parts. The first part leads a generalization of the author as well as the Painted Veil. The second part is designed to generalize the development of feminism and its connotation. The third part aims to analyze the cause of Kitty’s former position, as well as the process of Kitty’s growth influenced by feminism. The fourth part explores the calling of Kitty under her cognitive growth in the influence of feminism. The fifth part is the conclusion.

Abstract:With the rising of feminism, the creative experience of Chinese female novelists has been attracting the attention of literary critics, who have focused much more on the ideological content but not on the narrative art. Actually, the female novels of the 20th century have undergone the process from unconsciousness to self-consciousness in terms of artistic level. By doing four case studies of Chenying, Luoshu, Luohong and Meiniang, female novelists during the Republic of China, the author tries to prove their mature esthetic consciousness and their respective achievements. Chenyin's meticulous and deep-going way in narration, Luoshu's detailed description of snobbery, the characteristic dialogue composed by Luohong and the viewpoint voiced by Meiniang are a demonstration of the rise of Chinese female novelists.
