Influence of Entrepreneurship Capital on Farmer Household Entrepreneurship Performance:Empirical Evidence from Survey Data

Abstract:Aiming at entrepreneurial farmer household,based on the sustainable livelihood framework put forward by the UK’ s Department for International Development( DFID) ,this paper designed a six-dimension index system to measure entrepreneurial capital, which includes natural capital, psychological capital, human capital,social capital and physical capital,financial capital,and utilized orderly logistic model to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial capital on performance with data of 578 surveys conducted in Shaanxi, Gansu, Henan,and Shandong Province.The results shows that entrepreneurial self-efficacy,optimism,number of family labor,and relationship with credit cooperatives,expenditure to buy transportation,family operational income, number of formal financial institutions in specific area have a significantly positive effect on business perform?ance;that the time working outside of primary labour,and the amount of loans have a significantly negative in?fluence on entrepreneurial performance;and that arable land,education,medicine and insurance costs,whether there are members of the village committee among one’ s family,friends and relatives,social etiquette spend?ing,productive fixed assets,whether there is a computer,and house property mortgage have no significant effect on business performance.
